  • Comment removed

  • The noobest part: 7:23

  • Schaffer is the RIFF LORD!!!

  • this song is fucking heavy!!

  • I WAS BETRAYED, LOOK WHAT YOUR GOD HAS DONE TO ME!

  • 0:30 to 1:00

    Perfect.

  • Schaffer says he is embarrassed by this album, except for Dante's Inferno.

No idea why. This album shreds. Definitely their darkest and heaviest album to date.

  • this song is so fucking heavy, adrenalin shot!

  • I love how the beginning part is from Bram Stoker's Dracula

    "Give me your last breath,

Look what your cult has done to me"

  • @fukenoff : I always thought it said " I was betrayed... look what your God has done to me"

  • @fukenoff Its "Look what your god has done to me." but close enough :) im glad that someone else knew that!

  • @Jakster840 your ears need cleaning :)

  • @kokorozz or you could go watch the 1992 version of Dracula (Gary Oldman) which is where the audio clip of the voice was taken from. Nice try though.

  • If any of your friends ever flip their shit over Dethklok, please point them to this.

  • this album sends all black metal bands for breakfast...

  • ICED EARTH ΡΕΕΕΕΕΕΕΕΕΕΕ!!!!

  • A bit ironic that there's an advertisement for bibles to the right of this video as I'm watching it...

  • @metroiddude123 Nice!

  • yes fuckin siiir! amazing!

  • Old iced earth was far superior...their new shit is...shit.

  • This album feels "right" only when the music is accompanied by Dore's pictures

  • fucking aweasome lyrics fuckign aweasome music!!

  • 11 people were just tossed to the flames \m/ XO

  • "These are not idle threats my friends

    We're slaughtering the lambs

True vengeance is on the rise

    The traitors shall be damned

Cast their bodies to the flames"

These are the most metal lyrics ever written...

  • this song is so fuckin awesome n heavy as hell

  • @purelh This song is not ''Heavy as hell'' IS THE FUCKING HELL ITSELF!!!! \m/

  • IE's best song imo :>

  • 3:00 - 5:38 the sickest Iced Earth part in my opininon.

  • @metalheaddddd The Growl in 5:22 fit so good

  • Most pissed off solo...ever!

  • The audio is mest up !!!

  • fuckin amazing song

  • I masturbate to this song...And it's awesome!!!

  • @punktheman lol

  • God this song fucking kicks ass, I remember I heard it for the first time in the summer of 2000, it was excellent then, it's still excellent. timeless piece, and to me, the production value is excellent.

  • Sounds like after "Warning from the sky." Barlow whispers fuck with us and you die

  • All of them are GREAT!!!

  • How Could Anyone Dislike This ?? Its Just Another Awesome Song From IE :)

  • epic song :D

  • elladara reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!! iced earth iced earth iced earth!!

  • SACRIFICE!!!!!!!!

  • Such an evil fucking album. I love it. I just wish the drums where mixed a little better.

  • I saw the band on Graspop (a festival in Belgium). Man, it was great! The atmosphere, the band, the moshes. I actually lost my wallet in the mosh! Only to discover it before the last song. So I said to the guy next to me: pick me up, I'm going forward! And that's how I did my crowdsurf. And here's the good news: I found my wallet back! Only without the money... But the rest wasn't stolen, so I could leave the concert with a great feeling! And a few aches in my ribs :p.

  • \m/ this is the TRU METAL !!

  • i remember being 11 when I bought the Dark Genesis collection and i was scared of those beasts that they had on the album posters! haha

  • kick-ass song! love them!

  • Comment removed

  • ive just listened to this over and over again for the past hour no joke. absolutely brilliant

  • THIS SONG IS FUKIN KILLER. FUK!!!!

  • this is far beyond the best work of iced earth and your friend is right i personally despise schuffer but i am listening metal 20 years now and this is(personally speaking)one of the best albums i ve ever heard, among many others!

  • I LOVE. LOVE IE<3 *fangirl love* ^^

  • dope

  • Awesome it's thrash with power metal vocals and it sounds amazing. Glad i decided to check them out

  • Great.

  • best song ever... +++++

  • This song has so many views because of Vio !! my guitar teatcher

  • Btw anyone who is wondering where that phrase at the start of the song comes from well I figured it out. Its from Dracula (1992 film) here is the link to when he says it. /watch?v=ec0lWTS8BWc&NR=1&feature=fvwp its around :24. I never noticed it until today. I know Barlow's favorite horror character was Dracula while watching this movie I knew that part sounded a little too familiar.

  • 10 people burned in hell as an offering!

  • 10 people burned inn hell as an offering!

  • great song no other band could it done any better

  • burnt offerings IS their best album ... sorry ... for everyone who thinks different ...

  • This whole fucking song so fucking epic, from its start till the end >.<

  • 3.50 creepy entrance

  • I can't do "Don't like" on this video! Who is with me!?

  • Iced Earth needs to write an epic play (a musical of course). Anybody else agree?

  • this is not biúrnt offerings! it's iced earth album burnt offerings track stormrider

  • @theodor70941

    no? listen to the song.

  • eargasm...

  • Omfg there some evil shaffer vocals inside ! hes very good at vocals too in my opinion

  • hey guys i need your opinions. i'm debating on which IE album to buy first: Something Wicked This Way Comes or Burnt Offerings? I personally think I should start with Something Wicked.... but my friend says that this is their best album and buy it first.

Can anybody help me out? Thanks.

  • @crazybaseballdude12 If i was you i should buy them both :P I would start with the Horror Show album

  • @Metalnoli

thanks for the response. though my friend already has horror show and he said he'll let me borrow it. on friday i plan on buying a bunch of cds at fye, so i might only be able to buy one album. which would you recommend? at the moment i'm leaning toward SWTWC (burning times has got to be one of the best opening tracks ever) but i really don't know. thanks again.

  • @crazybaseballdude12

You're welcome. I've got all the album's and can't choose wich is better. I think the Dark Saga is awesome too, but the something wicked album is a album every iced earth fan should have :)

  • @Metalnoli

thanks again. i just heard that matt retired from music today to focus on family issues. i guess this means that iced earth is done :(

  • @Metalnoli I kinda disagree with you saying every Iced Earth fan should have Something Wicked... I think everybody should have that album, Iced Earth fan or not, haha!

  • @crazybaseballdude12 i'd start with the early ones and work my way up :)they just get better

  • @crazybaseballdude12 or use youtube converter

  • @SUPEROKEEM

yeah i know i can do that. i've done that with a lot of music, but i'd prefer to buy them so i can actually listen to them while driving from start to finish as much as i want.

  • @crazybaseballdude12 I'm probably way late, but I just wanna say. Night of the Stormrider and Burnt Offerings>all.

  • @crazybaseballdude12 I would buy Wicked...just my opinion, but either way you can't go wrong.

  • @crazybaseballdude12 I started with Something Wicked pt. 1 and 2 and then got really hooked on Days of Purgatory. Alive in Athens album is awesome and i think all those songs are better live.

  • @crazybaseballdude12

you should get alive in athens since its a triple cd and includes songs from many albums. If you really want a studio album, burnt offerings/stormrider/dark saga/something wicked are all great. You really cant go wrong :P

  • @crazybaseballdude12 just buy burnt offerings if i was you i would just download them both from thepiratebay!

    (-_-)

  • @theodor70941 Yeah so that they won't make new albums anymore? By pirating, you are killing the music that you supposedly love.

  • @theodor70941 How can you call yourself a fan of anything if you just download all your music?

  • @TheRealMechanix

Do you need to fuck hookers to say you're a fan of pussy?

  • @rifflord235434f43 If you're not pathetic you normally never pay for pussy...

  • @crazybaseballdude12 Buy everything from IE except for their last one...

  • @crazybaseballdude12 The Blessed And the Damned is the best of album. 2 disc set. Pick it up, and enjoy a little bit of everything.

  • @Luvless69Chevy

Great starting album. But is still basically a greatest hits before ''The Glorious Burden."

  • @crazybaseballdude12 every Iced Earth cd is awesome....however, when I first listen to Iced Earth it was Burnt Offerings that caught my attention......I was instantly addicted. Now I have the whole cd catalog. Burnt Offerings is a masterpiece in so many levels.

  • @crazybaseballdude12 DARK SAGA certainly....

  • @crazybaseballdude12 Dude I'd go HORROR SHOW BABY

  • @crazybaseballdude12 Personally I think Alive In Athens is the best album[s] to start on

  • @crazybaseballdude12 Two classic albums to start with are stormrider and burnt offerings

  • @crazybaseballdude12 definitely burnt offerings it was my first when i was 13 i'm 26 now and still really enjoy this album... it is their best. but the one with tim owens was great too... the glorious burden i think

  • @crazybaseballdude12 You could get the live DVD for a mix of all their songs that's what I did anyway :P

  • @crazybaseballdude12 a little late maybe but i think burnt offerings are absolutly the best album with iced :)

  • @vasagos

haha believe it or not you're not late. i went to fye (in case you aren't american, it's a store where you can buy CDs, DVDs, video games, fan gear, etc.) and they didn't have BO and SWWTWC. i'll buy whatever IE studio album i can get my hands on first ;)

  • @crazybaseballdude12 I was gonna say before i read the responses... id get am all...no joke.. there will be no dissapointments...none.

  • @crazybaseballdude12 buy dark saga first, then this.

  • @crazybaseballdude12" Night Of The Stormrider" thrash and early stage of IE. Raw brutal pure metal! but any album wont be a dissapointment promise! check out Dark Saga and the glourious Burden both amazing too

  • @crazybaseballdude12 I I were you I'll buy thier first album just to get into the atmosphere of IE.

  • @crazybaseballdude12 burnt offerings mate their best album with a huuuuuuuuuge difference

  • @crazybaseballdude12 Dark Saga and Something Wicked are more easy listening albums, but their best, in my opinion, are Night of The Stormrider and Burnt Offerings!

  • @crazybaseballdude12 start with burnt offerings!!!!thats my opinion!

  • @crazybaseballdude12 Burnt Offerings, one of the best albums of all time.

  • @crazybaseballdude12 Night Of The Stormrider dude. SERIOUSLY.

  • Comment removed

  • @crazybaseballdude12 the dark saga

  • @crazybaseballdude12 You should buy Burnt Offerings.

  • @crazybaseballdude12 Your friend was right.. THIS IS THE BEST ALBUM!!! Burnt Offerings is a GOD AMONG MEN!!!

  • @crazybaseballdude12 The problem you ran into (if you did wind up buying them all) is that Century Media or IE decided it was a good idea to remaster the first three discs. If you are able to get the originals it is much better. The added "crap" is so so. Especially The Burnt Offerings remasters. UGH!! I can listen to it, and tell you every small add in. I know the original that well. Wish they hadn't f'ed with it.

  • @TheLegionsOfMetal

I bought Horror Show yesterday. That's the only IE album I own at the moment. I guess that wasn't remastered because it sounds fine?

  • @crazybaseballdude12 you should have also the album "knight of the stormrider". it is as good as "burnt offerings". the album is just awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @crazybaseballdude12 BY BOTH CAUSE THEY`RE FUCKING AWESOME! LOL

  • @crazybaseballdude12 This is very late, lol. But for me their best album is Night of the Stormrider

  • @ElgartheWise Night Of...IS their best. But this one comes pretty close imo.

  • @crazybaseballdude12 Go for Alive in Athens, it covers everything. sorta like Live after death

  • starting at 3:00 exactly, does anyone notice feint similarities to Master of Puppets

btw my favorite Iced Earth song...this, Dantes inferno, and Iced earth (self titlesd song)

  • starting at 3:00 exactly, does anyone notice feint similarities to Master of Puppets

  • A Rebel was born by Burnt Offerings on the Iced Earth.

  • damn, this is the remastered one...fucking shit

  • (fuckyeaguy.jpeg)

    So fucking kick ass.

  • The singing at the beginning is epic! Sends chills down my spine.

  • PERFECT!

  • 10 people were watching the video upside down.

  • @hecklermp57 lol

  • The dude sounds like starscream lol.

  • @doyouskatebaker It's from Dracula.

  • What does the demon voice say in the beginning? cause it sounds like a line from Dracula the movie

  • @thehomelessman "I was betrayed. Look what your God has done to me!"

  • @killemall22 Yep, its used in Dracula (the 80's one), I was watching it the other night, and while he is in his true vampire form he says that.

  • @killemall22

Ah thank you, I never could make out exactly what he was saying at the beginning. I thought he said "I hear wolf chained, look what your god has done to me"

  • I was Betrayed... Look what your God has done to me!

  • free replay button 0:00

  • Do they usually play this songs at concerts? I'd love to hear this song life and sing along. :)

  • @wahreHelden No, they never play it live. Jon Schaffer doesn't like this album. I read somewhere the album was written in anger and he feels differently about things now, and doesn't want to play the songs. The only song from this album they ever play live is Dante's Inferno.

  • @Deere55 whats the nanme of the album?

  • @Siegertypus Burnt Offerings.

  • @Siegertypus Burnt Offerings. It's great. I don't know what Jon Schaffer's problem is because this is one of my favorite Iced Earth albums. This and Night of the Stormrider.

  • @wahreHelden

I haven't heard it. Got to hear the entire Gettysburg though.

  • @Vazcular A word of advice is High water mark is the best song on TGB Gettysburg.

  • @SweetOdinsRavens

I was talking live in concert I heard the entire Gettysburg Trilogy. I just consider it one big ass 32min song.

  • This has to be their best song yet

  • I still enjoy listening to Iced Earth but This is hands down my fav song

  • Awesome

  • I'll have to agree with JadeInBlack777 on this one!

  • I like how they used a line from the movie Bram Stroker's Dracula at the beginning. It's fucking sic :D

  • each 9 idiots who dislike this masterpiece can suffer in the 9 plains of Hell

  • This has an awsome evil creepy feel to it

  • I was betrayed... Look what your god has done to me...

  • hey guys, i'm looking for new bands frequently, iced earth seem like a very good band, is the rest of their music good aswell? (after burnt offerings i mean)

  • @halfbackofthecentury After this it pretty much goes downhill. They lose their thrashy nature and sorta "Sell-out" and get a much, much weaker sound, etc. Iced Earth, Night of the Stormrider and this album are good though. The first two are the most savage.

  • @halfbackofthecentury their album Horror Show is one fucking amazing album

  • @mysteryrocker123 this is from Burnt Offerings, not Horror Show.

  • @helloakayan i know....

  • @halfbackofthecentury pretty much anything with Matt Barlow on vocals :)

  • @halfbackofthecentury I first got into days of purgatory. burnt offerings is my favorite though. the dark saga is good, but its more mellow and sad... Something wicked is more balanced. I like the rawness of this album though. check out the songs Scarred, Violate, Prophecy, and Coming Curse, Desert Rain, and Cast in Stone.

  • I hope my lyric writing gets to a scale like that.

Epic is the only word that comes to my mind.

  • to be honest this is the only iced earth song i really like

  • @ThorRising thats ok everybody has there own style

  • The intro is straight out of "Bram Stoker's Dracula" How awesome!!
