  • It sucks how people have to cheat to get ahead in life. I'm going to be putting a team together for road racing legends cars. So it's going to get interesting. I should be seeing you in a year or so on the track. As for cooling, I'm going to use ducts from the bottom and stack oil coolers with a fan. If the car keeps moving we should be ok. A busa engine is the way to go. I would really like to know why 600 picked the FJ engine. Not a good choice in any book. A GXR would've been

  • @GlassByThaddeus 600 Racing did try to buy into a contract with Suzuki for Hayabusa's but Suzuki turned them down. The Yamaha FJ motor isn't a bad motor, but it is dated from a 1980's design. I've heard that they have been testing Legends cars with the watercooled cylinders which should help reliability. The main problem with these cars is heat, but once you figure out how to keep the oil temps below 260 degrees, they will run forever.

  • @GlassByThaddeus The other main issue with running a modern fuel injected motor is cheating. 600 Racing wanted to keep control of cheaters and its much harder to do with a motor with fuel injection.

  • Btw, the FJ engine ran hot in the bikes too

  • @GlassByThaddeus This white car is the only aircooled car I've owned, while the other two I had were the newer watercooled ones. They were better, but still needed modifications. Ironically, this white car was painted red and now has a Hayabusa motor in it and it hasn't given me any trouble with overheating.

  • INEX needs to lighten up on two things. Tires and brakes! Both are safety issues and they should let us put the best we can in the cars.

  • @GlassByThaddeus INEX has 2 problems; They are too restrictive on making "good" modifications for dependability, and there is too much cheating going on with modified sealed motors. Several of us formed our own group and run our cars at Spring Mountain in Nevada. We all have stock motors and it's alot of fun. There aren't many choices for tires, but Carbotech makes some compounds for these cars that are 1000% better than stock.

  • is there any heat problems with the engine

  • @Thecarguy24

No. I've owned three of these cars since this video and I've learned some things about keeping the oil cool with ducting. Stock, they can get very hot, but by getting air to the oil coolers better, it runs cool no matter what the outside air temp is.

  • Saying that Vettes can't handle is foolish. This car weighs nothing, ANYTHING handles like shit compared to these little cars. Vettes win everything in their class, against every other make out there.

  • C5 and C6 vettes haul ASS around corners!!

  • With a competent driver...

  • Gotta love Vettes! Fast in a straight line but cannot get out of their own way in the corners.

  • WOW, what fun! Kicking some Vette and Porch Monkey butt! I bet the guy behind the wheel of that Thunder Roadster is a former basketball player (too tall?) and is taking his Cobra frustrations out on that poor little car. He probably has great friends that tell him about great buys on eBay. - JM

  • lol ouch man
