I was sacked from my job for voicing an opinion on Facebook about the "client group" of people I'd worked with. I mentioned no names and my Facebook settings were on "private", yet I got fired. Don't think for a second we have unequivocal freedom of speech in this country.
did you know there's british and american settelments in the middle east? seems like you never left the country? and the muslim nations havend been at war for 400 years there occupoied by predomanite white nations
when penny rimbaud talks about how the british are the most oppressed people in the world does he even think about what would happen if he released that record in Iran, Saudi Arabia, etc etc - he's obviously never been out of the country...
I'd agree the Brits are the most oppressed. Considering we have so much freedom on paper, we are totally powerless and do nothing about it when the state decides to ignore our 'freedom'. We oppress ourselves. People in so-called oppressed countries have far more guts than we do. Brits are oppressed at a fundamental psychological level.
thanx for that pancrack and penny so many things i could say dont know where to start i was part of a small group that would put the crass shows on in birmingham...i'm waiting for the rest... would also love to hear about gee and what shes up to
