  • Awesome and thank you! ::curtsies::

  • Whoop whoop, we love it XxX Daz and Chaz XxX

  • Yea! Thanks!

  • LOL :)

  • arent you that dick from Kathy Griffin's The D List...

  • LOL-I wish I knew Kathy

  • Stop spewing venom, obamahatesfags. We can beat these people with logic. You're not helping anything.

  • I'm waiting for your logic.

  • You people have the racism comparisons completely backwards.

Take blacks. They tend to be less productive and responsible than other races, and because we are a democratic, capitalist society they naturally pay a socio-economic price. Everyone has to pull their own weight in this country. A little economic safety net is fine, but gays are asking for a level of economic and social welfare that is tantamount to socialism.

Blacks wanted equality - not preferential treatment.

  • Your racist comments are not welcome.

Asking for equal civil rights is not asking for anything special.

In what way are gays "asking for a level of economic and social welfare"?

  • I still don't understand. If same sex couples can have the legal benefits as hetro-sex couples, and if they can marry in churches that believe that same sex marriage is okay, wouldn't that be enough? I just think that there should be equal understanding. Imposition on someones orientation as well as imposition on someone's religion should be avoided. In the end, everyone needs to be somewhat considerate. Doesn't that make sense?

  • Because separate is never equal. That's basically what our 14th Amendment says.

It's a legal word. Civil marriage. The churches still get to decide who they marry. A gay couple who wants to get married in a church have plenty of options.

  • I truly see no argument in this reply. I only have issues on two things. If the churches get to decide, then isn't that exactly what I said? I understand that closed minded thinking is to be looked down upon and how you may feel about people who don't believe in gay marriage, but really, a belief is a person's belief. One should not manipulate or enforce the opposite. As long as all, non supportive churches aren't forced to, I think it will be okay. (cont)

  • But, if we are to say that society is forced to embrace this belief that same sex marriage is acceptable in religion, we have a problem. There is no effective reform if one breaks down barriers just to establish new ones. What we all need is widespread acceptance regardless of what one believes. This new generation is more accepting to gay culture because it is more open. That alone will be effective in transforming the next generations to come. (cont)

  • But these labels of hate don't influence your opposing viewers. So, what are you accomplishing other than expanding a rift between the opposing sides? I was so impressed when you expressed your ideas on how you supported the bisexual orientation, because you had an in depth explanation and understanding. This however... doesn't seem to hold the same attributes, and I don't feel this could potentially advance society in even in the slightest. live and let live, not live and make change.

  • This video is to embolden the people who fight on our side of this issue. And I've already gotten feedback that it has helped some people to keep fighting and to stay strong.

  • People on the fence--some may be turned off by this video. That's fair. But some may connect with it. And I think it's important to identify those who hate gay people or who fight to deny equal rights.

Ultimately, I'm just trying to provoke thought and stir up energy.

I have another music video that is completely different in tone.

  • Also, I think there are a number of positive images and ideas in what I'm saying here. It's a contrast.

  • But no one is saying that those churches have to accept same sex marriage. This is strictly about civil rights from the government. It has nothing to do with religion.

There are gay friendly churches and, yes, I do attack those who are spreading hate against gay people whether using the Bible or not.

  • I agree that future generations will be more open. But that doesn't mean we shouldn't fight for our rights now. Should people have color waited for a less racist era? Part of what made America less racist was the Civil Rights movement.

  • edit: Should people of color have waited

  • I am not saying that you attack just those that spread hate. You are also attacking those that simply dont believe its right, even though they do not push their own views on others in anyway. This has also been seen on the opposite side of the fence countless times too, I understand. And I am not saying that we shouldnt do anything. I did say that I appreciated your approach in other videos. I just feel that this way isnt effective at all. (cont.)

  • And I think that it can be easily understandable that a video that regards the entire western population as its audience is much more effective as to one that doesnt. Plus, if you turn off more people with such controversy even though you connect with others, then youre really just trading teammates, and whos to say if your video was beneficial. Can you honestly tell me that a video, that wasnt so divided, wont embolden as many people who fight for equal rights among orientation? (cont)

  • Also, people who dont agree wont watch or just reinforce their own opinions with your video. So, its still hindering progress. I think this sort of thing has been seen faaaaar too much, and that a new, more understanding approach needs to take flight. Also, I dont really see how stirring up everyone up is going to be a smart idea either. Giant pictures of dead fetuses didnt really fit well with both sides. (cont)

  • And just like now, too much bias is like too much medication; if you go over the limit, its killing the result.

  • I am not responsible for how people react. I'm an artist. I express myself. I provoke thought. I ask questions. I speak my mind. That's all I can do.

I don't think there's only one path. To reference the Civil Rights movement again, it took both Martin Luther King, Jr and Malcolm X to bring about change.

  • I only said to address western society. I don't feel this is provoking thought as much as reinforcing it. Because, overall, people are just going to say that aids their own opinions. And I do understand that you can't be responsible for everyone's reaction, but you can very well acknowledge the commonly predicted reactions, and even address the issue in a way to further benefit your standings. And I know that there isn't one approach, but this is somewhat overdone, that's all.

  • Well I thank you for your thoughts.

I believe that with this video and "Ave Maria" I have accomplished the various things I wanted to say about Prop 8.

  • If I only succeeded in preaching to the choir, well sometimes the choir needs the message, too. I hope to incite people to take action so we don't lose this fight on November 4.

  • I meant to say that it reinforces both sides.***

I'm glad I got to discuss this with you.

    Cya~

  • This video was specifically created for this issue here in America right now.

I have created videos that are universal and I have created videos that are specific. And, no, I will not, I can not make everyone happy. I can not speak for everyone.

That's why we have to be a community of different voices and ideas. Mine is but one.

  • And this video is based on a previous video of mine.

  • I attack people who spread hate in this video. That's who I am targeting. I can't be responsible for everything you are throwing at me here. I respect your opinion on the matter. I think you raise some great points.

  • Thank you!

  • Dude this was intense! This was very well done! Wow!

I really don't think that all of those politicians are homophobes and/or haters. They should be more tolerant, though.

  • Thank you!

Sadly, all of them have taken an anti-gay stance. McCain is the least of them, but he's still guilty unfortunately.

  • haha, i like that you rap, and the flashing lights!!! love your videoes!

  • Well, it's a remix of an earlier video.

    Thank you!

  • This just scares people to vote yes...

  • How do you really feel?

  • Good vid!

    You are really good!

Keep fighting ... someday people will understand the only way to peace is tolerance!

    Love you JerbyVids

  • Thank you!!!!

  • We don't let children marry adults because children can not consent. That would be abuse.

Two adults in love is not the same in any way.

That's fine if you believe that being gay is a perversion. But I know that it us not.

And marriage isn't a gimmick. I love my boyfriend and I want the right to marry him. Legally. I already have the right to be married to him in the eyes of God.

  • You deserve to marry your boyfriend, and I pray that one day everyone will truly be treated equal. I love the remix and vid it's awesome :D i love this song :) :) :) :) :) :) I totally agree with you and I am straight ;)

  • Thank you!

  • How long did it take you to make that?

  • Well, all the footage was already existing from the original video shoot. I'd say I prob spent about 20 hours editing the video over a few days. And the remix took a few hours.

  • Ahh yes editing is a crazy process.

    Really shows your dedication.

  • Thank you! I enjoy it. :)
