To save the money they should refurbish and upgrade their old apparatius. They have a very limited buget. They spent half of that money on 5 new Pierce Tower Ladders.

@Jared1452 Ahhhh there are no pierce towers in the plans at all. The 2 pierce MMA towers in service were part of a federal fund. The only reason they werent Eones was the grant specified pierce.

l28 l16 and 1 other comp did get new ladders but the gas tanks had to come out so all 3 will be in and out of service 4 a while turns out the straps and tanks hung too low and would be damaged if they went up a steep embankment .

no seriously theres pictures of the new trucks on a website i am a member on, and ladder 16 is all lettered up and was at a recent chiefs show...no wink wink and a boston fireman confirmed it saying ladder 1 16 and 28...with the 04 pierce going from ladder 1 to ladder 11

Well i guess they were wrong or misinformed because the three new trucks are going to 16 28 and 1 with ladder 1s pierce being reassigned to ladder 11...date of this unknown

ladder six is also know as ladder fix.... plus they blew their engine twice and are now running with a spare

I understand that and i am aware, but the fact is that many ladders are the same way in boston, so it will probably go to ladder 28 then they could replace one of the hand me downs (11 or 21) and then ladder 26 is trying to get a new truck...so i dont believe six "fix" is in the picture (they have 3 pumps and 3 trucks (e one) on order

Boston is not getting tillers...there fleet is old and they are desperate for trucks fast and they have a limited budget so there will be only straight jobs for now no tillers in the near future

pipeman...ladder 28 is a 1990 theyll be getting a truck before ladder 6, in fact there are i believe 3 maybe 2 trucks already on order (E One) and ladder 28 is a strong bet to get one i dont know if 6 is even getting one of them
