What you witnessed was a fine "save". It takes a skill level known to very few to master plying the nations inland waterways. I'm sure the pilot on that vessel didnt share your "funny" comments. Tell you what it is like. It is like knowing you are going to have a auto wreck, 5 minutes before you do......and not being able to stop it.
