  • Ex-communist.....does'nt surprise me. If he had his way we'd be speaking russian and the country would be under the conrol of the communist workers' party central planning committee.

  • @JoeBLOG5

She's the Queen of the United Kingdom and other commonwealth realms, and she has no public political preference.

  • Brown/Blair/Camaron are Scottish Jacobite Freemason !, the REAL enemy of our Protestant Country (England)...Our leaders are Treasonous Romonist Jewish Whores to Rome !(EU), and not the Crown...

  • fucking scotish wanker

  • Nonsense as he has done as much as he can you guys just picking up idiotic thigns to talk about.

  • This video is so pointless. You're reading far too into it and you're obviously using this video to rally opposition to Brown because something like this is a very emotive issue. Spin at its highest

  • This is just blown way out of proportion. YOU, as the video description editor are wrong, as the true intent of paying respects is to be able to REALLY mean it, and physical movements mean nothing. I'm sure Gordon Brown was thinking long and hard about them during that day.

  • David Cameron and the ENTIRE Tory party VOTED FOR the Iraq War and the Afghan War. The Conservatives are just as responsible for all the deaths in Afghanistan - correction, more! It was LABOUR backbenchers that voiced opposition and VOTED NO to these pointless wars. Sorry ignorant Tories - that's just the way it is.

I'm sure he didn't mean to "disrespect" our war dead - and i don't think he did, DID HE, be honest - I'm not offended, and my grandad and great-grandfather fought in both wars.

  • We're going through the same thing here in the USA (which I predicted before Obama was even elected). Can you believe the media-led drones are now actually blaming recently elected "liberal" leaders for the mess we're in--after decades of conservative governments pandering to the corporate elite and military contractors? My father and grand-father also fought in the "war(s) to end all wars"... The bowing going on here seems perfunctory. To what breathing servicemen does the Queen bow in life?

  • Props to you nauort23! Good words.

  • I think this is all blown out of proportion, I am in no way a fan of Brown, but on this day I forget about who I like or dislike - I also certainly think this is not a day where we should be nit picking over politics; this is a day where we remember our brave, victorious dead. Brown looked more solemn here then 'disrespectful'

  • Unfortunately one of the drawbacks of a democracy is that people who haven't got a clue about the issues of the day have votes too! They rely on rags like the Sun to tell them what to do.

I'm no fan of Gordon Brown, but is 'call me' Dave really going to be any better?

He's already shown his promises are as worthless as Brown's over the Lisbon Treaty.

In a way I feel sorry for Brown. He's a bit like John Major before him, a basically decent man surrounded by sleazy idiots!

  • so what if he forgets to bow or even if he doesnt want to?!

  • This man does'nt give a shit about the brave service men and women who gave their lives without any thought leaving their loved ones behind. He cis an absolute distace to everything we believe in.These MPs are far more interested in how much money they can claim out of us for fictional expenses.

  • Ur right to point out the issue is about funding the military properly and not about whether he did or not bow his head for long enough.

  • SUN drivel as usual

  • the biggest insult to our troops every.

  • As our Prime Minister he should Know what is expected of him at the cenotaph. His behaviour shows a total lack of respect for all the men and women who have fought and died for this country. I agree with tuduright HANG HIM!

  • It's disgusting that our national day of remembrance has been hijacked for this petty political point scoring. This video and today's express front page are disrespectful.

  • More overreaction from The Sun who don't actually give a flying fig whether he bowed his head or not. They only care about getting him out. They're well aware Labour won't win the next election and love to pretend that they have the power to determine elections. I wouldn't wipe my arse on it.

I don't think Gordon Brown was being disrespectful here. He did seem to lower his head and had a respectful body language. I bet none of the whiners even knew you had to bow your head anyway.

  • Hang the traitorous commie scum.

  • Quite frankly Brown should crawl up to the cenotaph to lay the wraeth given his underfunding of the Armed Forces. He is a disgrace and not fit to lick the boots of any of these veterans. He is woefully out of his depth and an inadequate fool

  • Steps back......Steps back......Stand at attention..... Dips his head, and walks.

    That's what you call disrespect?

At least he turned up.....Unlike the armchair critics!!

  • And people are actually surprised that he showed a complete lack of respect? The man is an absolute arse.

  • The Queen has been doing this for 56 years so the routine is pretty much well rehearsed - as for Brown well he so clearly was worried about falling or missing the step that he forgot to bow - lets face it whatever the bloke does isn't going to be good enough for some people

  • I think this is a massive over reaction by the media. Although I agree with

FWIBLE1 who says that there is a slight bow of his head, I still think that even if he did 'forget', then it's not really worth a news article. It's not disrespect, as it's not malicious - it's one tiny bit of tradition that wasn't upheld. I'm sure the respect is truly there for the Prime Minister (who I am neither in favour of nor against), and I don't deny he's a bumbling fool - but this news is simply an overreaction

  • I do feel i should point out that I agree with the comments indicating that the army are grossly underfunded. I think this is a wholly legitimate ground for criticism of the government. My personal view is that those who lose their lives should be posthumously knighted, and their wives and girlfriends should become 'Lady...' Their contribution is greater than selfserving bankers and industrialists who are knighted. My sole point below is that I fear Gordon Brown's body language is misconstrued

  • he is the Prime Minister

he is paid 197000 POUNDS A YEAR!

he should NEVER have such a thing as "misconstrued body language"

    at such an important moment

    roger

  • the prime minister is pain £100,000 if that

  • @rogerblogger2010 where did you get 197,000 from?

  • With respect, he does bow. His head is bowed at least 45 degrees when he back up from the wreath @ 0:12. At about 0:15 he lifts his head to allow him to bow again, which he then does as he turns around. Even if this was not the case it clear from the rest of his expression and body language, that he shows respect, and is thoughtful . I think its shameful that the tabloids have tried to use remembrance of the massive sacrifice of our troops past and present as political weapon.

  • Labour Party are anti-British trash, the sooner they get thrown out the better.

  • true colours always show!!! sooner he is out the better!

  • Absolutely disgraceful!!!!!

  • Bloody hell. I heard about this and just had to see it.

A kick in the teeth to all the brave heroes who've done far more for this country than that guy ever will. Shameful.

  • In the Express it says "...... a source close to the PM disputed the claims, saying: I watched the ceremony. The Prime Minister clearly nodded after stepping back after laying the wreath.

    He clearly DID NOT.

This man is a piece of Marxist filth - hopefully to be hosed away, along with the entire Labour Party, at the next election.

  • Well, I for one hope Gordon Brown remains as PM up to the next election, this way Labour are sure to be hammered without reinventing themselves as New NuLabour.

As a former soldier myself I think the guy is an idiot and a traitor.

  • Cunt, as soon as he's fucked out of office, the better. He's jointly responsible for sending our lads to war and wholly responsible for under funding them.

  • Bastard
