  • great tune - appreciate the request and i'll sure consider it! Thanks for watching,

    dale

  • thanks for watching sir!

  • Hey Dale,

    Excellent Lesson

  • hello friend - sure appreciate you watching!

    dale

  • one of the first I learned. I notice you play the fuller chords (except for the signature intro and the one you point out). I use the "higher barre" chrods. But I like the way my buddy and I could play this with the full barres you show. I love the little riff, which you do perfect. Great chops! I also like your flame top Acoustic Electric. Mine is a 64 Gibson ES120, which looks like its been through the mill and what I learned on. What make and model is your guitar if I may ask?

  • thanks for taking your time to watch! Sounds like you have a KILLER guitar sir - i'd love to see it. The guitar is a Collings 360 - it has mini humbuckers which i've never had before. All the best with your music,

    dale

  • great job, dale, on a doobies' classic! precise, concise, & cool, man! Now if only I could come close to their vocals...NOT! lol

    peace bro,

    den

  • hello Denny! I'm never even going to dream of their vocals - you however got the chops sir! Thanks for stopping by,

    dale

  • Well, I was wondering if we were gonna see a a lesson for this one but I didn't want to jinx it by saying anything.

I always wondered where you go after that 1st chord. Now I know.

If I could give you 6 stars I would because this lesson is beyond Awesome. ;)

As always, thank you so much for taking the time.

  • hello friend! This post alone made the video more than worth doing - your kind words are very appreciated! Happy pickin,

    dale

    dale

  • how long did it tak you to get this good

    dale

  • Thanks Dale, I've always wanted a good explanation of how to play this song that has always eluded me.

  • how this video helps some - sure appreciate you watching! All the best sir,

    dale

  • Lot's of fun, simple easy listening vocal harmonies in this one too. The little acoustic sounding groove from the second guitar sets the head to "bob" also.

    Good stuff as always Tonedr!

  • Pat Simmons work was just amazing - often understated but so about the song. Sure appreicate you stopping by - all the best,

    dale

  • Nice one. Early days.
