I'm just catching up with you on your tutorials.............another top song ! and easy to understand tutorial with lots of info I can use.............Also, you have a nice collection of guitars....I've never heard of this one.......
Thank you, I really appreciate all the talented people on here who are willing to share their knowledge. I am a 54 year old grandma just learning to play. : ) Oh and your guitar is beautiful, I have never seen such a glossy finish on one. Thanks again.
@tonedr i've never heard of that guitar. i was just gonna comment that i've never much liked LP studios, but that sure is a pretty finish, then i noticed the inlay and this comment.
I play classical guitar as well as electric , i noticed that hold your instrument in the classical position when playing, do you also play classically ? I enjoy your lessons very much, thanks for the help.
wouldn't consider myself a classsical player, but do play a good bit of fingerstyle and this position seems to the best for me.....thanks so much for watching!
From all the tutorials here on youtube (for Long Train Runnin' and Listen To The Music) I like yours the most! Very nice sound, you got all the chords very similar sounding to the original song. Keep up the good work, I would like to learn more!
This is one of a few of your videos I've seen. You are always right on target with your lessons. All the info I need to understand, but little time wasted. Thanks so much for the lessons, I get a lot of enjoyment from them!
Totally impressed with both your skills and ability to share some of that knowledge. What a great classic tune with (dare I suggest) that disco/funk strumming that really makes it a fun tune to master. Thanks to you, I've just about done that. Cheers!
Thank you, I had to get this together in a hurry and this helped a great deal. Yours is the best lesson I found and your chord voicing spot on.I used to play this back in the day as a bassist but now I'm on six string duties. Nice guitar btw-beautiful polished finish.
Fantastic! Been trying to play this forever with incorrect tabs and videos that are just plain wrong and I could never figure out why it didn't sound right. Suddenly everything makes sense!
one of the first I learned. I notice you play the fuller chords (except for the signature intro and the one you point out). I use the "higher barre" chrods. But I like the way my buddy and I could play this with the full barres you show. I love the little riff, which you do perfect. Great chops! I also like your flame top Acoustic Electric. Mine is a 64 Gibson ES120, which looks like its been through the mill and what I learned on. What make and model is your guitar if I may ask?
thanks for taking your time to watch! Sounds like you have a KILLER guitar sir - i'd love to see it. The guitar is a Collings 360 - it has mini humbuckers which i've never had before. All the best with your music,
Lot's of fun, simple easy listening vocal harmonies in this one too. The little acoustic sounding groove from the second guitar sets the head to "bob" also.
