Our cover band started doing the Ataris version but I have since convinced the band to do the original. okay im really confused on the recording. you use pro tools. if i wanted to record electric drums, bass and electric guitar, do i just input the sound in from an amp and record it on pro tools like that? so to make it simpler, did you record your guitar and bass purely using your guitar, bass, amps and pro tools? no mics? thankss!! really need some feedback.

@MisterMontage85 You can watch my video called "The Making of Wish You Were Here" if you want to get the basics on what I do, but it's a little old now. I usually do a direct imput out of my amp now. It has an output in the back (xlr) that allows me to plug directy from my amp to my mbox2 interface. I also have used my POD xt LIVE processor. Just watch the videos, there are 3 of them, they should help answer some of your questions.

@joezetank I usually do most of the tracks. Most of the time I download midi for Guitar Pro and import it into Protools, like some of the drums on this song so I don't have to do them by hand (with the midi keyboard) like I used to. Some of my songs are totally from scratch. In this song, I had to add the hand claps and tweek the midi drums, but the rest I did on my own. It took me a couple years to be able to get to this point. I put around 10-15 hours of work into my music per week. Thanks! :)

@FunknGrvn This is downtuned a 1/2 step (Eb), then the interlude chords are C, D, C, C, D, Am but just play them on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd strings only, but you must be down tuned. Thanks! :)
