  • hi nice video is the aims pure or modified and can you let me know just roughly the cost.

oh! deep cycle batteries will last 7 to 20 years if you keep them above 12.5v ask any forklift

    tecky.

  • @ian57812 600 for the inverter.

  • Does that inverter accept a voltage higher than 24V? If yes, what would happen if you placed the inverter outside, closer to the panels, and then ran excess power inside to the batteries? Are you feeding any power back to grid?

  • @birdwing98 it goes up to 28 or 29 volts before it sounds an over voltage alarm. The close you have to the panels the better. I did end up replacing the wire with heavy 8 gauge wire.

  • man you should work on your wiring skills, the rig you made will not last .

  • @valko007 The wire is large gauge 8 for the battery part and 00 for the inverter. It worked great no wires were ever warm. It worked for a couple of years no fires. I am going to hook up my pure sine Aims inverter really soon. Most of my wires are contained in the 10 x 12 Hoffman box. The other wires have to go to the batteries and the inverter dont know how to do it any different. The temporary ground wire I stung out the door was just for that day I hooked it up.

  • deep cycle means you can run the battery down many times with out killing the battery and car batteries can not do this with out dieing. Pure sine wave is just like the utility company power. Other types are modified and they are cheaper to buy but not as good they don't have as much power. Fridge will run slower. microwaves buzz and vibrate a lot. Korcera makes some great panels but they are very expensive. Sharps are good but very expensive. If the panel has a good warranty buy it.

  • What does deep cycle mean? What is so special about "pure sine wave inverters" and what should I use. Great video man what do you recomend and what are the best panels to buy? Great Vid man; Like!

  • @fishfrizbee Deep cycle batteries can fully drain without harming the battery,There great for charging and draining.A pure sinewave inverter gives off clean AC power,It will run all digital eqiuipment...Modified sine inverters wont.

  • in the night u need energy u can use alternator+bicycle around 300 watts or carr

  • @mely1629 the solar panels charge up 5 deep cycle batteries that hold a charge for a while and I can use them into the night to power my tv and a lamp.

  • @mely1629 I would like to get a wind generator for night.

  • nice solar panes that u did y try make mi self buy cells ebay u can wash clotes refrigerator t v everyting u want nice job

  • good job bud

  • @ROCKNTV1 Hey thanks glad you liked it lots more solar videos to come!

  • @shartne yep, i like your setup, and the 12v /24v efficiancy comparison, i am poundering the numbers on my house now, to find the max loads under worst case and how best to use my 120v appliencecs that came with the house, mainly, well pump, oil burner, and reefer, moving down priority from there, thnx 4 the vid

  • Maintenance free batteries means that they are sealed. My batteries are sealed and plus they are deep cycle. My Yellow top Optimas are Deep cycle AGM which means they are made with Glass Matting. You can use Flooded batteries with open tops or sealed batteries just make sure that they are deep cycle. You can use cranking batteries for cars but they are not going to last long because they aren't designed to run low like deep cycle batteries.

  • would this work in a maintenance free battery or non maintenance free? or will it work with either of the both?

  • With all those batteries and panels, you can really harness a lot of solar power for actual or backup use.

  • @wtam69 I am working on it I wish I had about 20 batteries and 3,000 watts of solar cells with a few wind generators. I want to get off the grid. My electric bill just keeps getting higher and my income stays the same.

  • You have one nice collection of panels there.

  • @MrHorsetail Thanks,I am in the process of making two more panels using 3x4 inch cells. I need t get them finished.
