  • just a lil' bit of info. if you take the battery out whilst having the mini usb connector plugged in, you can continuously use it, however i wouldn't suggest doing this for extended periods of time.

  • can u connet laptop?

  • could you attach ps3 orr x box to it and it will work fine

  • Can you use Apple Tv with this or a Mac if you get the right adapter?

  • can u use the wii or x box on these.

  • @mackey087 yes

  • @mackey087 yes

  • are those batteries that come with it rechargeable?

  • not ideal for buisness presentations,i use my optoma es526 for that, but its good for portability.

  • Is there a SD card slot.?

  • @stee1face no

  • is it possible to plug it into the usb whilst you playback video so you can watch a whole movie at once?

  • can you charge and use it at the same time?

  • Yes (but I tried using a longer USB as the one in the box is quite short, any usb I tried over 1m in length didn't work, the projector would turn on and then shut down after about 30 seconds!? Interestingly enough, using the usb from the box with an extension seemed to work though...)

  • So u can't connect it to your PC..FAIL for optoma

  • lol i was bout to say the same damn thing

  • you can connect it to a pc using an adptor

  • awesome accent

  • great this is more detailed review than most other on that thing.

  • how big can the screen project to

  • 2:07 150cm or 59" It will go bigger but will be out of focus.

  • how far away does it have to be to get 59"

    in cm please

  • I don't know exactly as I never measured it but as a guestimate I'd say about 400cm.

  • is there any way to hook up speakers? If you used a splitter? Can't imagine relying on that built in speaker

  • Not out of the device itself but from the source devise you can just plug the sound into a set of speakers rather than into the phono cable (see 0:32)

  • I want one of those for XMAS. I Wan't to ask you something first. Can I watch a movie in a 16:9 or 16:10 Aspect Ratio?

  • Yes you can (sort of), the video I used to demo this is in 16:9. The projected resolution is 480x320 but if your film is 16:9 the black bars top and bottom wont be visible.

  • one questions ....can i use it on USB alone..without battery :D..if so this is the best thing ever

  • Yes but this will only work with some micro USB cables!? I don't know why but I tried powering this with a much longer cabel that I had and it just turned on and off ar random intervals as if it couldn't get enough power.

  • I can use a VGA adaptor to plug this into my laptop right? And how does it sound with external audio?

  • one question: can i have it as a full on television or not?

  • you said the battery life is bad, can you just use the projecter while its plugged in?

  • Yes you can but that kind of defeats the object of this being so small and portable. Having said that I did have this set up on my bedside table for a week or two and it was plugged in permanently, when used with my iPhone it was ideal for watching iplayer.

  • question. is this only a movie projector or can you also project still pictures? were you able to connect this to a laptop/computer or was it only hooked up to your iphone?

    great vid by the way.

  • With the right cable you can hook this up to pretty much anything that has video out, so that would include many laptops brands (you would need a VGA to composite video cable). If you were using it for presentations you would have to make sure you had a very dark room otherwise you just wont be able to get the clarity required.

  • thanks thats good to know.

what about projecting still pictures like jpeg? can it do that or is it just video?

  • The projector will display whatever your source is displaying, be it a keynote/powerpoint, a picture/slideshow or a video. This projector had no way of displaying anything unless plugged into another device, there are now some mini projectors out there that have built in memory card readers and can display photos and video straight off them.

  • This video is adorable. Keep 'em comming. 5*

  • Very good review

  • nice
