If it was a straight one on one I'd say he broke his ankles. But it wasn't. Eddie House was guarding Heinrich and had to rush to Rose to defend him. That automatically gave Rose the advantage cuz House had too much momentum running towards him. All Rose had to do was run the opposite direction, which he did. Not to discredit Rose's ability. I just don't see it as him necessarily breaking his ankle.
