I bought the Flip Ultra HD and I'm disappointed. The battery constantly overheats and stops charging. No expandable memory or external mic output, or even settings. I've been playing around with my dad's Zi8 and it tops the UltraHD in sooo many ways. A macro focus, different frame rate options, external mic output, expandable memory, and it's not bulky and huge like the UltraHD which I had to put a cloth under my comp to lift it up so the flip's usb could reach my comp port. Go with the Zi8

Are any of these camera's compatable with windows movie maker without having to use a converter. I have the zi6. I use converters which lowers the quality of the video.
I got the Kodak Zi6. $149.00 @ Staples. Although the option to shoot in HD60 (60fps) is nice, your video files will be HUGE! Way too big to post even 1:00 min on YouTube. So you must shoot in VGA...so then why get a HD camera? Am I missing something?

Usually with HD camcorders you process them through a video editor. This almost always makes the files much smaller.
