  • The way Lily's theme plays... This is the part in the movie where I (and probably the people around me) was sure I was dying.

  • Voldemort: "You have been a faithful servant Severus. But only I can live forever!"

    Snape: "My lord?"

    Voldemort: "Nagini, kill"

    Voldemort leaves

Harry walks in, Snape starts crying memories

Snape: "Take them to the pensieve."

    *pulls Harry closer*

"Look at me. You have your mother's eyes"

  • Lily dumped Snape not because of she called her mudblood. Because Snape is a Death Eater.

  • @283leis but couldn't she see that he was being bullied by James and hurt emotionally?

  • I just realised I remember hearing this in the movie. I watched the movie early July and its now January 31st.

  • I started crying when Snape died. My dad was like, "Why are you crying? You've seen this movie twice and read the book!"

But I still cried, it gets me everytime. I mean, it's hard seeing someone you love (in a book or not) die.

And James Potter is a bully, and bullies are cowards. so how come he got Lily instead of Snape? Snape was brave and true, and James was cowardly and mean and had this HUGE ego. It's not fair! Lily was blinded, didn't she see what James was doing to Snape?

  • @LeahKarma99 b/c snape called lily a mudblood once

  • @LeahKarma99 I agree 100%! But just know that James changed in his 7th year, Lily could see he became more mature. James and snape never made up though, snape hated the fact that lily and him were together. But lily would have given snape a chance if he didn't like the dark arts so much. Other than that i hate how james bullied snape. I love snape so much and its so hard for me to even hear this sound track, especially when lily's theme comes out. its so fucking sad. Snape for life.

  • RIP Snape. Forever.

  • i love how lilys theme is in it too :)

  • "Albus Severus Potter. You were named after two great headmasters. One was in Slytherin and he was probably one of the bravest men i ever knew."

    Severus Snape was so brave.

  • I don't quite understand why they played this music throughout the whole movie, especially when Voldemort died. Why would they play Snape's song when Voldemort died? This song should be for Snape and for Snape only.

  • I so feel sorry for Snape, he really did care about Harry - he had practically been his dad all these years trying to protect him and trying to prevent him from becoming arrogant like James, IT WAS MEAN OF DUMBLEDORE to do what he did to Snape, him and Harry could of been friends not enemies. Wish they had left the scene in where he calls Lily a Mudblood by mistake, that would give even more credence to his story, but they left it out and in HBP. Prefered HPB young Snape though.

  • @jane1975 That isn't really true. Snape only protected Harry because he wanted to repay Lily. He still hated Harry, because Harry stood for everything that Snape didn't have and couldn't have, and the person who took that away from him. But at the very end of his life, he saw that Harry has his mother's eyes, and realized that although Harry may resemble his father, he sees the world through the eyes of his mother. It was then that Snape came to respect Harry.

  • @Kingcobrasaurus That comment is beautifuly written -claps-

  • The ending was amazing! <3

  • ...This song is too short.

  • Snapes birthday is January 9th let us celebrate the birthday of a brave man

  • Severus Snape was brave, cunning, strong.....it kills me to see him die. I can't help but cry every time I hear his name.....Rest in long-awaited peace Severus Snape. You will only be remembered as a hero.

  • Personally, if the protagonists didn't beg for such favoritism, I would be happy to call Snape my favorite character. Newfound respect and pity for this guy--his abilities in magic in general, and his abilities emotionally; I could never manage that, muggle or not. Don't even mind that he's in Slytherin very much. He is (I agree), the world's most misunderstood hero; and a brilliant one, at that.

  • 1:00 - 2:00 is so beautiful.

  • Comment removed

  • i feel sorry for snape... living a lonely life, a misunderstood life just to protect the one thing that reminded him of the love of his life. Snape i never hated you. i knew you were only being tough on harry to protect him and perhaps teach him better skills. R.I.P. Severus

  • Lumos...

  • I think it's sweet that Lily's theme is in Snape's last moments.

  • I hear Lily's Theme as well.. <3

  • @AwesomeVideosX They used that theme through out the whole movie.

  • I love how Snape's Demise has hints of Lily's theme in it! [You can't spell Severus Snape without EVANS]

  • Snape is the bravest wizard

  • "You were named after two headmasters of Hogwarts. One of them was a Slytherin and he was the bravest man I ever knew."

  • Severus was a controversial figure throughout the HP series, yet in the last book my opinion towards him changed in a positive way.

  • People are really exagerating about all this Snape business, yeah he's a cool character, but the bravest characters in the story are definitely Harry, Ron and Hermione hands down.

  • @electricmornings but think..snape was really the hero. while those three played a big part, snape was the one putting his life on the line by being loyal to dumbledore and pretending to be loyal to voldemort. he was the one that led harry to the sword and he was the one that protected harry from quirell in the very first book.snape was the one who thrust himself inbetween them and a werewolf in the 3rd.he hid the sword, found barty jr,everything. yes they were brave, but snape was the true hero.

  • @enkoorsss you know, I totally agree with you but you can't deny that Harry, Ron and Hermione never put their life on the line, and Snape didn't find Barty Crouch jr, in fact he didn't do much in goblet of fire except stay at hogwarts while his mark was burning, yeah he's brave for doing all that. In my opinion, the heros are Harry Ron Hermione and Dumbledore.

  • @enkoorsss Sorry, but I also think that whoever says that Snape is the ral main character and he's the bravest, the hero, are just overreacting to how cool the fact that he's on dumbledore's side is.

  • @enkoorsss and also note that the only reason why he's protecting harry is because he's lily's son and he's dumbledore's friend, but in many ways Snape is very childish (i can explain later) and nasty

  • @electricmornings how in the world was he childish?! he was waaayy more brave than anyone else would be. he lived for love. even though lily was gone he still loved her and still protected harry because he saw her in him. he also sorta hated harry cuz he looked so much like james. and he did find barty crouch jr. he found harry in "madeye"'s office. and have you read the books? if not you need to and i think you'lll find snape is a LOT better than your giving him credit for.

  • @enkoorsss Actually, I've read all the books at least five times each, and last time I read the fourth was about a week ago, and he does NOT find Barty Crouch Jr. I will tell you right now why he is childish : have you ever asked yourself why is Snape a total asshole to Harry for no apparent reason (Neville as well because he blames him for the profecy bla bla bla thingy), Harry never did anything to Snape. Snape is childish because he takes his revenge from James on his own son.

  • @enkoorsss It's like if there was some who kept bullying you at school, and when you're grown up, you see a kid who reminds you of that guy, you start bullying him as well. And that is very childish

  • @enkoorsss Oh and you also say he is braver than anyone else in Harry Potter.

Fine, I'd like you to name all the brave things he does in his long adult life and compare them to what harry ron and hermione do in 17 years.

  • @electricmornings you clearly don't understand so i'm just not going to say anything else besides this.

  • @electricmornings If it wasn't for him, all that they did would've been done in vain. Dumbledore wouldn't have known half of what he knew about Voldemorts plans, therefor neither would Harry and so nobody would know how to stop him in the end.

  • @MaryTheSurrealist I'm just saying that Snape receives too much attention from fans than he deserves

  • @electricmornings He recieves just as much attention as he deserves. He risked his life and even lost it - the fans are not going to let him fall into the forgotten after that. He was an important key and character in the series. It's sad that you can't see that.

  • @MaryTheSurrealist thank you!!!! some one understands!!!

  • @electricmornings

It's because Harry, Ron, and Hermione are the ones being noticed by the Wizarding World as heroes, whereas Snape, he does all this undercover and doesn't get anyone's gratitude for it(except maybe Dumbledore), only spite. so fans who have usually not cared about Snape now think he is a true hero, which I agree to. Im not saying the trio aren't heroes though.

  • @lolvarun thats what i was trying to say!! thank you!! took the words right out of my mouth(:

  • @lolvarun I agree with you there, but while snape doesn't get noticed bythe wozarding world, he gets noticed by the fans, and while the trio gets noticed by the wizarding world, it doen't get noticed enoughbyfans. Let me also remind you that everything Snape did to protect Harry was under Dumbledore's orders, which , too, doesn't get enoughattention

  • @electricmornings You know, I think that's a decent tradeoff don't you? And perhaps trio doesnt get enough attention for their actions. But they're still famous as characters.

Snape may have been working on Dumbledore's orders, but then again, did he have to? Dumbledore's orders are always quite tall

  • @lolvarun I don't see what you mean

  • I wonder what he found on the other side of the veil.

  • im not gonna cry .. im not gonna cry ... oh my Rowling im crying !!! = " (

  • Hedwig's theme song is changed up so much right here! When in the beginning, it was so happy and full of happy emotions, now it makes the saddest emotions anyone can have. I love you Hedwig, you had no reason to die, you were just protecting Harry.

  • @pk81399 Hedwig was a sign of Harry's innocence. Since Harry was going to go and find the horcruxes and destroy the absolute worst dark wizard wizardkind has seen, he needed to lose his innocence. I know it was horrible, I know many of us cried, but it was time for Hedwig to die. May she rest in peace.

  • @peaceloveanime286 wow great way of putting the symbolism, i know you wern't talking to me, but i like thsi post lol

  • @jhibbitt1 lol thanx XD

  • @peaceloveanime286 now why would he have to loose innocence?

  • @iamSnip3rOne growing up

  • @peaceloveanime286 i would think that there is another or different reason but ok...im still having a hard time understanding..lol i just finished OOTP and beginning Half-Blood Prince soon so im still reading along...

  • I read the part where Harry sees Severus's memories in the pensieve, and I felt terrible, cried, and I couldn't believe what I was reading!

  • @pk81399 same here, omg it was shocking. I felt so guilty for having hated snape for so long

  • Oh gosh....the music makes me want to cry all over again...his death was just so incredibly sad...especially when he said "You have your mother's eyes"...I didn't expect that when I saw the movie, and I just started sobbing....

And now I need a Kleenex because I heard this again.....

  • I thought I had gotten over Severus' death, but this music brought the hurt back ;'(

  • He shall forever be the world's most misunderstood hero. Long live Severus Snape.

  • o mais corajoso

  • Turn to page 394

  • one of the best songs on the whole soundtrack

  • God i was like, SOBBING when Snape died and when he said the "look at me" and "You have your mother's eyes" and "always" i was just like

    OH GOD IT'S ENDING!

    NOOOOOOOOO

  • Is this the OST that plays when Harry is viewing Snape's memories, or is that another song?

  • Snape died in vain

  • Snape died such a stupid tragic death, all because of Voldy's miscalculation. Geez Voldy, when did you become such an idiot? Even the Potter boy figured that you just had to disarm the elder wand's owner to be its new master. Either you really wanted Snape to die or JK made you plain foolish. Anyway, without Snape's death, Harry wouldn't have been able to see his true colours and know about the last horcrux thing. Since I just don't see them discussing it over a cup of tea.

    Well done JK.

  • @Anosaan ...well, I can't see Snape living after the war in a world that's happy and cheery once more. :P He would never fit in. So it's best that he dies, no matter what his fans may think. (I am a fan! *tears*)

  • @Anosaan Considering how evil and soul-less Voldemort was, It's quite like him to have killed Snape instead of just disarming him.

  • Crying still. He was a good man. To think we all believed otherwise. Props to Alan, perfect.

  • @BombHeadProductions Supporting Actor? More like Best Actor, straight up.

  • if only we could take back all the abuse we yelled at Snape at the end of the 6th once we saw him reveal his true colors

  • @musicandcupcakes28 If you'd read the books properly there would be no abuse to take back lol. All the clues were there, his childhood relationship with Lily, why that memory was his worst, why Voldemort asked Lily to stand aside. I took great delight in gloating when I was proven right about Severus' true intentions and history with Lily,

  • @ElphabaLivesForever ok, well i started to see what snape was really like in the beginning of the 6th and end of the 5th, BUT then he killed dumbledore, witch made me have 2nd thoughts, so i DID read the books properly

  • @BombHeadProductions

i will bomb the place if it does not happen, i swear to god...

well, after, i dont want alan rickman to get blown up

  • snape is gentle

  • Snape Lived as a Slythern

    Died As a Grffindoor..

  • @MarioMario6298 He was as cunning as a Ravenclaw, and misunderstood like a Hufflepuff.

  • @hockeyfan202 Cunning is actually a Slytherin trait... but I'd say he was as smart or smarter than all of the Ravenclaws anyway.

  • @hockeyfan202 hp sucks :)

  • @MrMrthetruth90 Give me 5 reasons why Twilight is better.

  • @MrMrthetruth90 HP sucks? So can you please explain to me why MILLIONS of people around the world loved it? :P

  • Oh god. I love you Snape. Such an amazing character. <3 Thank you JK Rowling. Words cannot describe your importance to me in my life. Thank you for this amazing world you have created. <3

  • There is one good thing about Snape's death. The last thing he saw was Lily's eyes in the face of the only person who could kill her murderer.

  • @spencerant88 Your comment made got me so emmotional lol omg

  • @spencerant88 I never thought of it like that.

  • @spencerant88 U said my very thought. Exactly how I feel.

  • 0 Dislike Keep it that way >-<

  • man snape could not have been depicted more jaw-droppingly awesome in these films. he's one of the few characters who those of us have been watching since these movies first came out and he is undoubtedly one of the best

  • He made me cry...

70 tissues until now, only from the movie...

If we speak for the book too, make them one hundred...

    Absolutely Unbelieveable...

  • Snape died as a Slytherin. Throughout the books, little by little it's revealed that what they say in the first book isn't true - certain characteristics aren't locked to a certain house. There are Gryffindors with the wisdom of Rawenclaws, treacherous Rawenclaws (and Gryffindors), just and brave Hufflepuffs-

And the bravest man was a Slytherin.

  • @aryllia not to mention the whole idea of Griffyndor and Slytherin being mortal enemies is not true, because James and Sirius were best friends.

  • @kaizoisevil Err, except James and Sirius were both Gryffindors so that doesn't really say anything. That would be if you looked at Lily and Severus staying friends as far as to their fifth year despite being in different houses.

On the train in their first year, Sirius says "everyone in my family has been in Slytherin" and James says something like "Oh, and here you seemed like a nice bloke" as if being a possible Slytherin imediatelly took away any perceived niceness.

  • @aryllia wait...sirius was a gryffindor? I thought he was a slytherin.

  • @kaizoisevil Surely you're joking. Sirius even had his childhood bedroom permanently decorated in Gryffindor colours (with a few muggle posters to boot) and in Severus' memories in the book Lily sits next to Sirius after they've been sorted. (I'd also reckon he'd be wearing Gryffindor colours in the memories as the movies portrays them)

What made you think he was in Slytherin?

  • @aryllia ok, it was a whle since I read the book. The only thing I remember was sirius saying "come on now, slytherin is not really the worst" or something along the lines of that. Sorrry

  • I thought the only two scenes that were better in the movie than in the book was harry's meeting with the gray lady and snape's memories but only barley and becuase snape cried with liliy's dead body

  • Snape Lived as a Slythern Died as a Gffrindoor

  • <3 hedwig's theme

  • snape:you've kept him alive so he can die at the proper moment.

youve been raising him like a pig for slaugher!

dumbledore::dont tell me you actually grown to care for the boy

    snape:expecto patronum!

((doe prances around the room and out window.))

    dumbledore::lily?after all this time?

    snape:ALWAYS <3

i feel bad for snape because i hated him for being mean to harry but he was actually protecting him and everyone.and now hes dead but i love you now and i always wil

these memories explain a lot <3

  • Chuck Norris's Patronus is Severus Snape.

  • @PoisonFilledBlade Chuck Norris is NOTHING TO HARRY POTTER

  • I cried so much reading this passage of the book.. I cried even more watching the scene, Alan Rickman is such a brilliant actor.. Severus rest for ever in my heart..<3

  • i hope this movie elevates rickman's fame, or rather what i mean is, i hope his performance encourages an upsurge in job offers rather than him being typecast or something

  • lilys theme is just poppin up everywhere ain't it!

  • @cosbyshowobsessed Lily's Theme is a motif, and the song itself has a significance with Harry, Snape, Voldemort and Lily in it

  • Snape: "Take them... take them... please..."

Harry: "Give me something. Quickly. A flask, anything." (Hermione hands Harry a flask; Harry takes it and scoops up the tear)

Snape: "Take them to the Pensieve... Look at me... (Harry looks at Snape) ... You have your mother's eyes... *sighs*"

  • "You have your mother's eyes" Oh how i wish Miss Rowling wrote that line in the book.

  • @mkc92ingc It was in the book, but it was more indirect. In the book, all Snape said was, "Look at me." I think there may have been some third-person explanation of Snape looking deep into Harry's eyes, realizing that they were the same as Lily's. I didn't really like how he was so upfront with it in the movie. I think it would have sounded better if he had just said, "You have her eyes."

  • @mkc92ingc um hate to break to ya but i think that you might want to re read that book or go shopping for some glasses because she did say that in the book ;)

  • @mkc92ingc but she wrote "look at me" which meant he wanted to see his eyes... a little piece of happiness from his one love on the last moment of his life. the only reason it was in the movie was so that the people that didnt read the books would understand what was happening. what was in the book was perfect and romantic if you read it back(: i'm sorry i'm a harry potter geek :D

  • @enkoorsss thank you! somebody actually nows something about harry potter ;)

  • @80axela weell i've read the books and seen the movies like 500 times so you could say im an expert(;

  • @enkoorsss I've seen all the movies, though haven't read any of the books.

The way you put it like that makes me want to start reading them :)

  • @KingHarkinian you should. theyre amazing!!!(((:

  • @enkoorsss i will! xD

  • @KingHarkinian you really should, the first two are a bit hard to get through because the language isn't too great, but after the third she begins to write much better. They are SO good though!

  • snape dident die... he became a god

  • Snape: "Look at me..."

    *Harry makes eye contact*

Snape: "...you have your mother's eyes."

  • I love how Hedwig's Theme is in this :')

  • I feel like crying.

  • i thought of my mother and cried

  • Alan Rickman take a bow...

  • I don't think I've ever cried that hard in my life. I was sobbing. Thank you, Alan Rickman. Snape's scenes in that movie were easily the best part of the series for me.

  • When I was in the theater, my throat grew a lump when I saw the aerial view of the boathouse. Prior to the movie's release, I read that his death scene would be here instead of the Shrieking Shack. I held back tears until I saw his legs thrashing while Nagini struck him. It doesn't usually hurt me to cry, but this was excruciating. The tears stung my face and my entire body went cold. Rickman's facial portrayal of death is phenomenal; I've never seen anything like it. It didn't seem like acting

  • At the theatre I could hear sobbing everywhere. Behind me a grown man with his kids coughed loudly every 30 seconds to cover up his crying. I myself cried so hard I couldn't breathe, honestly. I think the only time I've cried harder was reading OotP, where Sirius died, and DH, where Remus, Tonks, Fred, Snape and Dobby died. They will all live in our hearts forever.

  • Lily's theme inside... for a little... ♥

  • I thought I could control myself when I saw this at the cinema today, but I gotta admit, although I didn't bawl my eyes out, I couldn't stop the tears flowing down my cheek when Snape died. It annoys me that he died so ...easily?? :/ Regardless, his death scene and memories scene were so sad! :'<

  • I thought of my mother, i cried.

  • you BET your ass no dislikes..

  • i fuckin cried as shit when he died

  • I Nearly cried when he died.

  • I balled my eyes out when Snape died....

  • I just realised the Deathly Hallows on the CD cover, the image! The wand is the middle, and if you imagine a triangle going down each of Harry's and Voldemort'as noses (although Voldemort doesn't have one...) and join it at the bottom, and if you imagina a circle in the middel, you have it!

    Or maybe I'm wacko.

  • @rachelfrench1992

C'est sans doute fait exprès !

  • Alan Rickman has always been an amazing actor, it sucks for all the people who are only just realising this now

  • @pirateshipification I realised that when I saw him as a badass in the movie "Die Hard " in the cinemas 1988

  • I was already crying while the Nagini was attacking Snape and when Harry ran inside and you saw Snape all injured and everything. But when I saw his face when he was telling Harry to take his tears(memories) and I saw how much emotion was displayed there, after seeing Severus barely display any emotion throughout the series, and I saw him crying for the first time...... I just lost it and I didn't stop crying throughout the rest of the movie.

  • if they don't give Alan at least a nod, then it just proves that the Oscar people are stupid...stupid enough to ignore such a beautiful scene, stupid enough to not recognize such a phenomenal actor.

  • the first few movies were happy after the fourth it got very depressing

  • It'll be weird if HP doesn't win the oscar >:(

  • The best H.P. movie so far!!

  • God I love Snape... D'x

  • It gives me chills that Lily's Theme is in it.

  • ...look at...me....

    :'(

  • @Neytirihime you have your mother's eyes... ;(

  • its amazing how much the music has changed from the first movie to now there are great differences in how,now they use very basey music giving a sence of this is it, no going back, we could all die if we fail. But in the first movie there wasnt that sense it was all "your a wizard harry" all happy no wories i can do amazing things now. thats what i love about the potter movies the very deep changes.
