Kobe shoes will fuck your ankles up so hard if you actually play basketball in them. They're running shoes, marketed by nike as basketball shoes. The reason kobe can use these shoes without constantly spraining his ankles is because he gets a huge, professional tape job done on his ankles/feet before every game. The majority of NBA players get their ankles taped, and DI players play with ankle braces or tape. Enjoy getting raped by nike's marketing stunt

Holy shit this kid's a retard. The heel cup is to keep the shoe solid in the back to prevent rolling your ankle. The reason the ZK6 slips more often is because there is less cushioning in the back of the shoe. Also, the sound of the squeeking is from the the rubber, the zoom bag is placed in a hole in the midsole, it is not the midsole or the bottom sole.

The ZK5 has more cushion in the back of the ankle, leaving less room to let your foot slip out. Nike Zoom is an insert under the insole, it is not outside, you can not touch it unless you split the sole and upper. This kid is just touching the phylon rubber and claiming that the zoom bag is making the noise, which is hilarious. Try to prove I'm wrong. =)

@JohnNguyenFTW First off, i own all all ZK1-ZK6 including the 2k5's. I am fully aware of where the Zoom Bag is located. I was pointing at the midsole/phylon because of the word "ZOOM" on it. You're right, its right under the insole where it should be. Who said I was actually touching it? As far as the noise/sqeaking, it's the Zoom Bag. As you wear it, you break in the bag and it may squeak as it does in plenty of my shoes that contain zoom. end of story.

@Jefferrrson What is also common among all of the Kobe shoes is that they all have phylon midsoles, along with zoom. I just tried to do your stupid squeeking thing with my Nike Zoom Start+ 2009 running shoes that have full length zoom and a very soft phylon midsole and a pair of Nike Zoom SB Dunks which have a hard midsole. Neither squeeked, but my ZK5's and Adidas Crazy Lights did b/c they had a similar midsole to the ZK6. Both my Huarache 2k4's and 2k5's both didn't squeek b/c of the air unit.

The fact that you say Nike Zoom is too "mushy" shows you're not pushing yourself to run. Good running shoes always have soft midsoles for comfort, but basketball shoes can't have midsoles as soft because of the amount of pivoting and changing direction required to play. Nike Zoom was made to keep users comfortable and low to the ground. Try playing in boots or Vans for a couple hours and see how that feels.

Compare to the Hyperfuse 2010's outsole, how are the Kobe VI wear and traction wise indoor? I've been playing with the Hyperfuse for almost 3 months now(both indoor and outdoor) and just finally wore down the herringbone pattern on the forefoot. i've played in my v's and my vi's indoors, i have to say that the v's have a better traction in my opinion but the vi's have a thicker outsole compared to the v's. my v's have a thin outsole already. haha! nice vid. hope you make once a month at least.
