Love the tight registration of the Nizo camera. Each frame is rock solid. I had one and broke it after only one reel - it was my best reel. I just finished shooting my last roll of K40 this summer. Nothing touches super 8mm for looking cool.
I wish they'd make a digital Super 8mm cartridge, where the pull-down claw activates a frame capture. Basically a cartridge with a sensor where the film would normally show. You could use it in any Super 8mm camera. that'd be cool.
You were using a daylight balanced stock with no interior tungsten lighting. Next time turn on a few light bulbs here and there and close the curtains. You'll get much better wood tones in the cabinets and better flesh tones as well. I would be delighted to know what stock you did actually use. Normally you need an 85. Which is a strong orange yellow filter on the camera or built in. Nice stuff.
I know nothing about cameras, but I do have a Cine Nizo 8e from the late 30's. When I found it, I fiddled with it and it started reeling... While since then the crank has become stuck for some reason, but if I can get it to work, can I buy film for it at any old store? Or is it harder to find film comatable with it?
Nice bit of shooting, though I will say that it is a bit soft, looks a bit like the old Kodachrome 40. Although, you have handled the light lovely. What a shame about the unrelated comments.
Can I please have a sticker? That means a lot to me, coming from a goth chick. =P
I don't know why people are offended by my first comment. I was only stating the truth. She is skinny. And boobs are soft unless they're fake. And some shots really were soft instead of sharp. I've taken film classes.
Nice. I have the Nizo S800 and love it when I am not using my Arriflex SB or K-3. I shot some 64T and 500T taken for the NAB in 2007. I did not develope the 500T yet. Still in the frig.

Super 8mm is still available. What kind of film do you need for that camera?
pat1981lux 2 years ago
I assume just the old regular 8mm I'm not sure if super 8 would work considering it came later than this camera.
ricochet188 2 years ago
it depends of the camera. some old 8mm cameras work with super 8 but it's rather an exception

This comment has received too many negative votes show
she's so skinny, but good that the fat goes to her boobs. Yeah, it's a little soft -- the image, of course. lol

maybe art's more than you are;; && more than you can comprehend
xxDreamphase 2 years ago
You can say anything is art. A piece of red spot in a corner can be art. A naked person can be "art". It's all subjective.

you went from sounding like an 8 year old to a smarter 8 year old :D
