  • Great job!Really thank you for posting those videos here!:)

  • what's cool is yip man takes time on the dummy. good form. That's perfect. The problem i see with all these other videos is people rush through the damn dummy.

  • All day every day dummy work dummy dummy work. you turn into a piece of wood after a while.

  • I finished seeing yip man 1 and 2 , and i must wow this guy is legendary.

  • yeah ppl a lot respect for him

  • ,,alot respect for him,,,

  • Even though Grandmaster Yip Man was very ill at the time of filming this video and died only a week later, he's strength and mastery in movement and technique are still evident.

    RIP

  • Love the drunken Master music in the background

  • shame its the edited version

  • Bruce was skinny, but he had muscles, his forearms werent skinny though, they were huge.

  • He did this when he was 79 and one week before he died of throat cancer. We should all respect him. Long live grandmaster Yip Man's legacy.

  • @TH3aznEmperor

you can also see my wooden dummy 7 day's work cost around 60 $;-)

  • Long live GM!

  • Awesome.. he included so much foot work and there's plenty of power in his blocks and strikes.

  • it is unbelievable that he died of cancer few weeks after these performances, which were really amazing for a man at his age. RIP Ip Man

  • @webworkermax: few days

    RIP great grandmaster!

  • Thanks for sharing! RIP Ip Man

  • Exquisite.

  • Wow Talon. You really are quite the man. This is a long dead man filmed one week before he died of cancer. There is NO muscle use in Wing Chun, only tendon and hence there is no musvle development. I'm a skinny guy and I can support a 220 pound guy on my tan sau without tension (his feet off the ground). Groew up

  • I bet he could. Pretty much all the grand masters are skinny like that. Even Bruce Lee is skinny. But if u judge the booko by the cover all the time, u will get your ass whooped by one of these skinny masters some day.

  • @supertarzan12 Right on it's all about suprise.

  • @supertarzan12 apparently this was filmed like 1à days before he died! how sad!! RIP

    that man was amazing

  • he could kill you with his little finger.

  • the name of the music is actually " Jeong Kwan Ling". Wong Fei Hung's music was taken from it and made it into a song.

  • thanks so much :))))

  • what is the music name ?

  • this music is '男兒當自强' (Wong fei hung OST)

  • thanks :D

  • @bigkorean1 The original song is actually Cheung Kwan ling. Wong fei fung theme got it from this song

  • @bigkorean1 The original song is actually Cheung Kwan ling. Wong fei fung theme got it from this song. In english the song is translated as General's Order. 將軍令

  • i wonder what he was like in his youth

  • Cool: I do WC in an Ip Ching-lineage school, and am just learning the dummy form. It's virtually identical to this film, which means I'm getting some good, undiluted WC from my instructors.

Bad: William Cheung's dummy-form. Check it out. It's NOTHING like the form as performed by Ip Man, and good for a laugh.

  • wow!

  • wait a minute ..wait a minute.. why does he bong shao like this?

  • please explain

  • well...i bong shao like this on the dummy and my sifu tells me iam doing it wrong,go figure LOL that's the best way i can explain it...i guess i need a new teacher or basically just listen to my intuition,at the end of the day your best teacher is you ;)i think this footage was taken about a year before he died by the way...imagine him when his was in his 40's

  • @dpapaioannow explain and i will try to help. And the film was barely 2 weeks before he sadly died!

  • @ozzie1246

    what?? when did he die:S?

  • @majin69

1972 i believe, sadly it was throat cancer.

  • @ozzie1246 throat? oh woops, i thought it was stomach... did he smoke?

  • @BB992 Yea he did, quite heavily. Was mighty fond of a pipe i believe :)

  • @ozzie1246 actually he smoked a opium pipe for a majority of his life thats how he ended up getting throat cancer

  • Magnificent!!!
