Obviously the guy on the left froze up or didn't have time to realize how hard the impact would be or that it would take down the entire section. Who knows, maybe from his angle he couldnt tell for sure if it was going to hit. I doubt he's a "dumbass" or "stupid". Might want to check into the guy's story about what happened before passing judgement. Like having a gun pulled on you, its easy to watch it happen in the movies and say what you would do, but very different in real life.

I would have used the music from the movie "The Bridge on the River Kwai", a 1957 British World War II film by David Lean based on the novel The Bridge over the River Kwai by French writer Pierre Boulle.  Also used in Magnum P.I. "Paper War", episode number 135, when Magnum blows up Higgins' "Bridge on the River Kwai" scale model that he made from match sticks...but I digress.
