When a storey (may be several ones) collapsed because the fire made the pillars break, it had the same effect: The upper part brutally fell on the next floor which couldn't stand the enormous resulting kinetic energy and collapsed at its turn, and so on...then everything happened as a domino effect, like for a controlled demolition.
