Very informative. What size needle do I use for ceramic glazes which can be coarse and can clog up after a while. What should the pressure be when I use glazes? I don't have issues when I use a heavy duty compressor and a commercial paint spray gun. What is your advice if I do details with airbrush on ceramics?

Have you actually tried the eclipse cs? From what I read it can do hairline as well. Hairline to 2 inches, actually, which means it could be used for tanning as well. I am going to buy the hp -cs and I will try doing eyeliner with it and I will let you know how well it works.

@silviarigel It's actually cheaper in the long run to get an airbrush like the Iwata shown in the video along with an Iwata compressor and then buy Temptu foundation in bottles from the Tempu Pro online store. The foundation is MUCH cheaper this way because the bottle lasts a lot longer than the foundation pods that you have to use with the Sephora Temptu unit. The unit at Sephora is also predominantly plastic and has a very tiny compressor that probably won't last too long.

As long as it is a milky consistency, you can pretty much use any liquid foundation you want, But diluting thicker foundations can be tricky. You have to dilute it with its like. For example: if a foundation is water based, then you can thin it out by water. But if it is oil based, you need to thin it out with an oil medium because you can't mix water with oil.. And I still haven't figures out how to thin out silicone liquids lol..

well... if you cake on the foundation, no matter how you apply it it will go on your clothes. you need to know how much to put and how to blend it. the airbrush is neater and better - but it is possible to get it on the clothes if you are not careful. :)

it takes a little practice, but yes you can airbrush on yourself - most just airbrush foundation tho, as that is the easiest of all application.

this may be a silly question, but i've noticed that some airbrushes can be used for both make up application as well as nails. does that mean that one that is "specified" for nail use can also double for make up application?

hey nrstheezy - its pretty much the same system, just the guns differ depending on what you are going to do. Nail art requires really fine nozzled airgun, and of course spray tanning would require a larger nozzled airgun.
