Just looking at your example in Proverbs, I find that the KJV ITSELF translates חוּל (H2342) as "bring forth" no less than 4 times. As a matter of fact, Proverbs 25:23 is the ONLY time that word is translated as "driveth away". This means the KJV is wrong, NOT the NIV!
