Only goalies should be allowed to fight goalies in my opinion. The protection matters very little when you can't even get any offence going with thoughs enormous pads on. Like I told Jacob, this is why the 2 most pecious players on a team are the goalie and captain. Everyone always has thir back, and they always have people to protect them. Mostly goons attack goalies.

I was at this game sitting 10 rows behind where it happened. What you should know is this goalie was a punk he was slashing players everytime they skated by. Crampton had had enough and whooped his ass!!! the game prior this goalie called out Wranglers goalie Mike McKenna and they fought at center ice

Don't try and tell me it's the greatest fucking sport in the world, when I live in the world's largest hockey city and follow one of the oldest and most expenisve professional ice hoockey franchises around. Why would you think anyone is badass for fighting a goalie. You have no idea what they go through on daily bases, playing the entire game. It is in fact pussy to fight a goalie, thats why you see the players protect the all the time.

actually..you protect your goalie so no one hurts him. some teams will try to hurt a goalie that is hot..or at least trying to throw a goaltender that is hot off his game..this goaltender in the video could not stop a shot..if i remember right it was 6 to 0 in the first period..and this goaltender was getting frustrated and slashed crampton in the legs as he skated by..crampton turned around..and then thats when the video starts...so the goalie started it..crampton just finished it.

In my opinion fighting a goalie is not badass, and many experts agree with that. Although if the score isn't even close there will be many brawls. In the odd case the goalies may interfere, if your saying this goalie was just being idiotic then perhaps, but I believe the opposing goalie should have delt with the situation himself. That couldn't have happened because he slashe the toughst player on the team who obviously wasn't going to walk away from it.

It's a bunch of games that amounted to this actually. This was San Diegos last year having a team..and everytime the wranglers played them..the wranglers scored 5 and 6 goals in the first period alone on this goaltender. So he was upset, and started a fight with one of our main fighters. You can see how well that turned out :)

The goalie did slash Crampton first..this was the year that the Wranglers kept blowing out the Gulls by 6 goals in the first periods alone..and that same goalie kept being all pissed off about it. So in this game yes the goalie did slash him. As for the NHL team..its coming..rumor has it Jerry Bruckheimer is coming to own a team here, I just hope it goes through. It would be awesome for Vegas to have the first Pro team here be a hockey team. :)

The commish himself has said that he does not want a team to be there. All the major sports have problems with the legalized sports betting in Vegas and thats why it will be at least a while before anything goes there. Jerry has been trying for years to get anything to come to Vegas and has been unsucessful.

you are correct. BUT, a week or so ago i read in the latest hockey news..that Jerry has stated that when they NHL expands, he guarantees a team here in Vegas. It will be a great thing for Vegas...and im excited for it to happen..i only wonder what the team would be named.

It sure would be cool to see a team there, but that being said, the league has said that the NHL is not looking to expand right now. I believe this to be true, especially with teams like Nashville fighting to simply break even and a hockey town like St. Louis just now coming back to the arena.

well not sure how accurate that is..not going to question you or anything. but word is that they are beginning to build our arena come february. all we hear is from the wranglers organization and everywhere else that the nhl wants to come here. i guess some strings are just in the process of being pulled.

good stuff, I hadn't heard this, I'm just going off an interview with the commish from back in December. Honestly I'd like to see a team go there as I visit 5-6 times a year and an NHL team would be another thing to do.

I think there should be more NHL teams in Canada. Bringing back the Nordiques, and Jets would be great. perhaps adding another one in Southern Ontario, although many cities can unfortunately not handle the costs.
