Reaction to Obama victory at Driskill Hotel in Austin, TX

In some online communities I go to, people compared the partying after Obama's victory to the Return Of The Jedi ending in that each represented a major victory over something.

Ironic, because as the cracked.com article "6 most depressing happy endings" argues, the RotJ ending doesn't imply as much of a victory over the empire as it seemed to. Similarly, the Obama victory didn't imply as much of a victory over the far right as it seemed to.
