I own all Simcity games for Windows and recently start playing SCS. SCS is actually not a bad game, I don't know why people say it sucks but the game mechanics are actually played differently but that doesn't mean it's all time bad. SCS is basically an up-to-date version of SimTown.
Simcity Societies is the worst simcity game ever! I can't believe i even bought it without reading the reviews, i just trusted that it would be good because SC4 was so good. :(

I'm a huge Simcity fan (way back since Will Wright's Simcity 2000) and I am totally disapointed with what I heard about sweatshops and not having the people happy: what kind of game are you doing? Sim City was all about creating a city, and trying to improve it, this "soxieties" is kinda like Civilization, but I don't want SimCity to be like Civ!
I am disappointed. It reminds me of Civilization or Rise of Nations. EA has lost fans of the game with this one. There should be an expansion pack that would compliment the Rush Hour addition for Sim City 4. More bridges, more trains, more airport options... more roadway interchange options....etc. This would temproarily satisfy the novice and veterans.
again as i have posted in previous videos, it may have been nice if they incorporated these ides into the original game, without taking away from the transportation (railroads, ferry boats, airports) and zoning, etc... just seems to be going a totally different direction now. Not for me, if a demo comes out I may try it to see for myself.

I don't like the graphics of this game so far. They look very cruddy. :( I do like the concept of the citizens however being that your more focused on them.
I'm looking forward to this. As others have said, I have the old SimCity games for classic simulation. There's really little you can do to improve on SimCity 4 in my opinion, while keeping the same formula. This, however, could be fun for just being creative.

In addition to that, the fact that they made this easy is a sick disgusting attempt at mass marketing, because they want to make simcity as appealing as the sims. they went in the wrong direction. there were 2 possible options that could have made in this game. A: a more global scale with a more developed quality of regional gameplay. B: an in-depth city that gets to a personal level (sims), while still retaining realistic city factors. this game is like simtown all over again it sucks

as a SC player since '89 on the C64 (and every version since, on multiple other platforms), I must say that I'm terribly bummed out at this coming release of SC. I really, really wish this was a joke. so much more could have been done considering the huge changes in social networking, online gaming, and simply graphics. this one seems like a huge, dumbed-down bore.

1. Go to start menu and click on run
2. Type in command and hit OK
3. Type CD/ in new screen
4. Then type format c: /s and then pres Y
Now every program should have enough space to work In your theory.

I don't like to make sweeping statements, but this is truly an abomination. It's a cheap lovechild of The Sims and City Life; a tacky, unrealistic and ridiculously badly prioritised attempt at a game. The intention was supposedly to "make the game accessible" which means it has been dumbed down to become a cash-cow like its crappy inspiration. This is just another pathetically off-target city simulation trotted out by a second-rate developer.

I'm looking forward to this. As others have said, I have the old SimCity games for classic simulation. There's really little you can do to improve on SimCity 4 in my opinion, while keeping the same formula. This, however, could be fun for just being creative.

This is a spin-off, people. Relax, the franchise is intact. And who's dissing the graphics? SC4's graphics weren't anything special, same crappy isometric view with 4 directions w/ limited 3D elements and a whole lot of artifacts and tearing-what's so special about that? It looks like you can actually move through your city in realtime 3D-it's about time! If you're happy with the old SimCity, go play the old SCs, if you want something new and somewhat original, then I say give this a try.

In addition to that, the fact that they made this easy is a sick disgusting attempt at mass marketing, because they want to make simcity as appealing as the sims. they went in the wrong direction. there were 2 possible options that could have made in this game. A: a more global scale with a more developed quality of regional gameplay. B: an in-depth city that gets to a personal level (sims), while still retaining realistic city factors. this game is like simtown all over again it sucks

as a SC player since '89 on the C64 (and every version since, on multiple other platforms), I must say that I'm terribly bummed out at this coming release of SC. I really, really wish this was a joke. so much more could have been done considering the huge changes in social networking, online gaming, and simply graphics. this one seems like a huge, dumbed-down bore.
