  • Ghalib was not only the greatest shaair but also a great man...a man whose stature can not be touched my mere mortals......

  • Whoever it was written by, we are fools to fight on the basis of religion. Ghalib was enlightened.

  • May God make these thoughts come true. No matter brahman ne kaha ya mulvi ne, paki ne indian ne ya kashmiri ne. sab insan hain sab ek jese hain.

  • Lyrics are by Sabir Dutt, as per the inlay card of this album.

  • i hope this divine thought comes true ...... and there w'll be love n love everywhere ...

  • Please guys, keep your comments related to video only. There are other blogs/groups/social sites where you can start a flame war. Leave this video alone please. Thanks.

  • Please guys... dont do this. Post comments about video only. Thanks.

  • cant get peace in south Asia till Pakistan is on the map of earth....long live India

  • The song is for poor peoples of every country which happens to be largest in numbers in india, so dont just speak shit when the topic is totally different. idiot.

  • My childhood memories take me to the time when my father used to listen to this classic; back then it didnt make much sense to me... Now, everything falls into perspective... Its the people who make nations, not flashy cars, fancy electronics etc; the welfare of people is what really matters...

  • great work.. the song is amazing and so are the pictures...

  • great work again...this ghazal made me cry every time i heard...i kept this for the most complicated times...but this video..

is par excellence....it will make me cry faster and with loads of tears..thank you.

  • you have great talent......i am serious...i mean i dont say this to anybody....so think about it.....

the irony in this ghazal / nazm is climax.....

    india should learn lessons.....

malls, cars, superbikes, great movies doesnt develope a country, but basic necessites like water, shelter and food...

plus unity which makes us a hindustan.

  • Fabulous work mate:-)

    Happy New YEar!!

  • not a ghazal, its a nazm

  • and would you be kind enough to insinuate the subtle difference?

  • a nazm tells a story, a ghazal is a collection of couplets (shers) based on certain rules of poetry- e.g.sarakti jaye hai rukh se naqab by jagjit singh is a ghazal.

  • bhai, classic! thanks!!

  • I wish all of South Asia was United. Mirza ghalib wrote this when all of South Asia was just India. InsALLAH one day all fights, disputes in South Asia will stop and hopefully poverty will end. Thanks for posting this ghazal with youtube.

  • you are right shilpa...

  • Thanks for sharing this ghazal with youtube. Ghalib was and is great.

  • Well, this is not by Great Ghalib, but I am unable to find who wrote this. I thought this one is from Nida Fazli, but cant confirm.

  • faiz

  • @asitjain

    a galib ka kalam he

alst line hum ko malum he janatt ki hakikat lakin

dil ko khus rakhane ko galib a khayal accha he

  • @asitjain Actually this is by Ghalib.

  • @Beststarter Only a line "ek barahman ne kaha hai" is from Ghalib. The actual poem is by Sabir Dutt.

  • @Beststarter Only a line "ek barahman ne kaha hai" is from Ghalib. This poem is by Sabir Dutt.

  • @Beststarter you are wrong bro what beststarter said is correct. only one misra is from Ghalib's Ghazal

  • @shilpa88888 have u forget j.s kya no comments 4 so many days

  • @shilpa88888 misra tarah is the term used for this kind of poetry where you take a line from a great poet and extend with what you have to say. This was a pop culture in poets at a time.

  • Beautiful composition. Way he ends the stanza and gets back, is just brilliant. Nice work buddy...not taking it serious, except that it leaves me thinking..

  • Just a great composition!!! Thanks for posting buddy!!!

  • Is the video no longer availabe?

  • Are these different ghazals that you've patched together or is this actually a standalone ghazal mate?

  • Its actually a single Ghazal.

  • just amazing!!!!

  • mast hai

  • hats off!!!

this is one of the gahzals that I will like till my last day.

  • v good work buddy go for choreography..

  • For ur info:-Barhaman means a fortune teller. Video depicts a 'Brahman' in the vid.

  • what a ghazal..............."dil ko khosh rakney ko ghalib ye khial acha he"

hum ko maloom hejanath ke haqeeqat laiken

  • Beautiful song. The video is very nice. But could you get rid of the billboards towards the end? That kind of spoils the video. Also, get rid of the "dont take seriously" message. Other than that the video is excellent.

  • Hi! thanks for your comments. Actually this was done as just and experiment, and I am not a professional. Video is just a hobby so here it is a quick and dirty work. I will see if I still has the project file on my disk, and then try to modify it as per your suggestions. Thanks once again.

  • No problem. I think you have talent and should take your work more seriously. Jagjit Singh's voice is very powerful. Combined with good lyrics and music it makes a big impact. You can combine the song, music and the lyrics with visuals and create a mind-blowing experience that can really inspire people.

  • This video is pretty good. But I found another video that attempts to do what you are doing - Search for "Jagjeet new year". This video kind of captures the spirit of the song very well (optimistic faces in pessimistic scenarios, faith of the believers, etc.). But the captions do not do the song justice. Anyway, the way to enjoy your work is to take it seriously and you may end up inspiring people.Whats worth doing is worth doing well. This is a great song. Now, give us a great video.

  • i think you have done a wonderful job... the billboards at the end are just fitting to the message, please don't remove it. but you can remove the comment about not taking the message seriously.

  • Nice song with a message.

    Keep up the good work.
