wow styles was on point on this one, talkn bout computer chips if they mess up can they opologize like have feelings real people issssh right there. instru is bangin2.
Styles surprises me. His "I'm Black" track caught my attention. I thought he was only about gun/drug/hustle talk, but clearly he is proving not to be a typical monolithic rap entity...He did his thing with that line
I know, but I wasn't feeling Lox like that, Ruff Ryders weren't that filling to what I was looking for at that time, so I just overlooked him. I did buy Jadakiss music, but it didn't really keep my attention. I will search out more of Styles though.
jada raps about typical new york hardcore rap topics, no doubt he is incredible at what he does, but styles was always yeah im ignorant and from the hood shit, but also a wise dude thats the message he be gettin across too.
thats the thing about Styles, thats why his first album was called A Gangster And A Gentleman, he's definitely a product of his environment, but he got a whole lotta conscious shit too
aight...I guess I'll put it like this....The Roots are destined to become the Black Version of the Rolling Stones. Why? They don't sell JACK, but they have a built in fan base because they appeal to so-called "gansta" rap fans and lovers of the real hip hop. And no matter what, they keep putting out quality material. Also, ego's are in check; all group members know they role and play their part well. LONG LIVE THE ROOTS & CONSCIOUS RAP. I know people hustle, but life IS a hustle. rap about that
@thalastpoet the roots dont sell well.....thats depressing as shit. i always assumed they got mad attention at their concerts and almost any one would recognize quest love.
@thalastpoet try to follow me sir....roots =/ gangsta = ignorance....shit died bout 10 years ago....they dont sell jack? they sell life AND life isnt a popularity contest
