  • Tha roots appeal to so called gangsta rap fans?

    When did that start happenin?

  • @PhantomSoulo illadelph halflife

  • styles p son

  • yeah...feelin this version over the original one, the beat speaks for itself

  • hello...Hello...hello...Hello...

  • can u put the mp3 of this mix up plz?

  • Yea, i can feel that baassseee, damn!

  • i like this and the original but this sounds dark, grim and badass

  • this mix is tight

  • this is much worse

  • This version is so grimy... love it.

  • i agree!

    ASS

  • i want this version of the song.....where can i get it?

  • this is dat fly shit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • FYI for anyone looking to buy this, the version on Itunes has a different beat, personally I prefer this one, but the other still works.

  • this is hot but what version is this it sound slower

  • Fucken DOPE

  • This is probably my 2nd favorite Roots track. The beat and lyrics are incredible.

  • so what's your favorite?

  • Here I Come

  • M - ILLATANT MOVEMENT COMING

  • nice

  • bangin track son!

  • wow styles was on point on this one, talkn bout computer chips if they mess up can they opologize like have feelings real people issssh right there. instru is bangin2.

  • Styles went hard on this joint.

you know I'm hip to it

and it's hard to claim the land when my great great great grands was shipped to it

    ^serious bars!

  • Styles surprises me. His "I'm Black" track caught my attention. I thought he was only about gun/drug/hustle talk, but clearly he is proving not to be a typical monolithic rap entity...He did his thing with that line

  • shame on you for sleeping on styles

  • I know, but I wasn't feeling Lox like that, Ruff Ryders weren't that filling to what I was looking for at that time, so I just overlooked him. I did buy Jadakiss music, but it didn't really keep my attention. I will search out more of Styles though.

  • jada raps about typical new york hardcore rap topics, no doubt he is incredible at what he does, but styles was always yeah im ignorant and from the hood shit, but also a wise dude thats the message he be gettin across too.

    /watch?v=2iUzQqtrmRU

those are two aren't bad to start off with

  • thats the thing about Styles, thats why his first album was called A Gangster And A Gentleman, he's definitely a product of his environment, but he got a whole lotta conscious shit too

  • Jesus. This song doesn't quit.

  • buy the cd

  • This album is so good...

  • i want the original of this song put back asap, its one of the best tracks of 08 and its nowhere to be found

  • this shit fuckin sucks put the original track back on youtube!

  • oh ya...this is to say that this is real rap....underground...word up

  • my baby shot me down

  • :( I can't find the original anywhere. Its much better.

  • imma upload =]

  • work it

  • mos def is amazing top 10 eny day

  • man this is just pure, real, meaningful hip hop at its FINEST. everyone kills it on this track.

  • original kills this

  • this sucks

    original is was better

  • nice alternate.

  • aight...I guess I'll put it like this....The Roots are destined to become the Black Version of the Rolling Stones. Why? They don't sell JACK, but they have a built in fan base because they appeal to so-called "gansta" rap fans and lovers of the real hip hop. And no matter what, they keep putting out quality material. Also, ego's are in check; all group members know they role and play their part well. LONG LIVE THE ROOTS & CONSCIOUS RAP. I know people hustle, but life IS a hustle. rap about that

  • great post, thumbs up.

  • AMEN SON!!!

  • @thalastpoet the roots dont sell well.....thats depressing as shit. i always assumed they got mad attention at their concerts and almost any one would recognize quest love.

  • @thalastpoet try to follow me sir....roots =/ gangsta = ignorance....shit died bout 10 years ago....they dont sell jack? they sell life AND life isnt a popularity contest

  • @thalastpoet Well said!!!

  • @thalastpoet well said my friend... well said...

  • this tune is so heavy all the the roots tracks are just a work of art

  • This version is so fucking raw.

The original AND this are nasty as hell.

  • Brap! Heavy! Version! Shouts 2 Tha Riddim Bag
