PROBLEM SOLVED!! GO TO YOUR NETWORD SETTINGS-> ADVANCED -> DNS settings

set the first one to 8.8.8.8

set the second one to 8.8.4.4 !!

this has been happening to me for years. Only recently have I fixed the problem just for it to start again. I don't think it is anything about the hackers much less than it is with your router. My router is complete shit so thats on me but this a fairly common problem. My thoughts- not a hacker's fault

@whatsdaquestion You have a point but remember this was weeks after the PSN network came back on. I had proof this was happening to everyone else to such as my friends. It should be good though. So it actually probably happens to everyone.
