Novosibirsk is a good Russian city. Nothing specialo, but real. Don't go in winter, it is freezing. Only one football team ""Sibir Novosibirsk". 2nd in second level of Russian football

Wow, this brings me back. I had the chance to visit Novosibirsk way back in 2001 when I was like 13. I went to some language camp on the outskirts of town. I see that a couple of things have changed since then.

There is nothing that I have seen that would compel me to want to leave London and fly out there tomorrow and see that city for real. I mean I see no pretty girls no night life nothing. It's too bland, just a town full of academics.

This city was made to produce nuclear warheads,rockets,jet fighters but not to entertrein people.There are no pretty girls on the street like in other places because everybody is working.I agree it's very dull city for people who like night life.

i use to live in hollywood, california. now i live in central california (one and a half hours from san francisco). california is a lovely state with lots of things to do.

sure there are suburbs in geographical term - Berdsk city, several towns (Ob', Koltsovo, Krasnoobsk) and more villages.

But there are rather few comfortable suburbian settlements
