When my mom died when I was three, my dad met a younger woman a few months later whom didn't want to take on the responsibility of my brother and I so off to foster care we went and they separated us at ages 5 and 7. It still affects me today.

I go outside every night and look up at the same bright star and talk to her. I can see the star moving around a bit. I see the aura surrounding her star. She is letting me know that she is okay. She's happy. The pain and sorrow she suffered is gone. She is with friends and family that have passed on as well.

In fact I was out in the garage today cleaning things up and I came upon many things of her (pics, cards she wrote to me, school projects, etc.) It touched my heart so much to find those things and "re-live" the memories. I know she is in a far much better place than we can even imagine. I have reflected over the choice of the word "LOSS". Yes, it is most definitely a "loss" I have suffered at least while I am still alive in this world, concerning my precious 23 yr. old daughter. Not being able to see, hear, or touch my daughter is a huge "LOSS"

PAGE 4. (still @goalieSTUD32), I am INTENTLY going to be thinking about the word "Loss" when I have to attend the funeral or speak to someone that has had to experience the death of a loved one. PAGE 3. I'm not sure exactly what is the "correct" word to use for not being able to experience those things about her. Are those things a "Loss"??? I go outside every night and look up at the same bright star and talk to her. I can see the star moving around a bit. I see the aura surrounding her star. She is letting me know that she is okay. She's happy. The pain and sorrow she suffered is gone. She is with friends and family that have passed on as well.

PAGE 2 OF 2. In fact I was out in the garage today cleaning things up and I came upon many things of her (pics, cards she wrote to me, school projects, etc.) It touched my heart so much to find those things and "re-live" the memories. I know she is in a far much better place than we can even imagine. What breaks my heart the most in knowing that while I'm still alive, I will never get to see her come through the front door, feel her touch, hug her or hear her voice again.

Yes, of course she will ALWAYS be in my heart, my soul and mind for all the remaining days that I am living and breathing here on this earth. I have never said "goodbye" to her since she has passed on. I ALWAYS say, "Until I see you again". I would love to see a picture of you as what you said to me sounds like something "my precious Amanda" would say from her heart to someone who's feeling the same situation as I am. Thank you Amanda you and your father are a true blessing to me. My Amanda lost her father when she was 11 yrs. old. So I know she is in heaven with him and he probably was singing this song to her as she entering Home to Heaven.

Thank you to whomever posted this. I had to bury my 23 yr. old daughter on May 25, 2011. Her name was Amanda. She was named after this song and it was played at the beginning of her funeral. Celebrate her beautiful short life with me. God Bless you.....
