  • This song has been covered so many times it's not even funny... It's fucking epic.

  • Wow.. thats all i got to say.

  • What guitar is Steve Turner using?

  • Vox Virage guitar I think..

  • Anyone who thinks this is better than the original is just a fool. That's the gift of Vedder. He know's great music and makes it. That which he can't make he celebrates.

  • 15 deaf cunts !

  • I love pearl jam but I feel like this is something mudhoney woul be much better at pulling off this song.

  • I actually like it better than the original that was freakin badass.

  • hahahaha eddie's portugues sucks as my english!

  • this is in portugal?

  • @blitzkiller3178 ok i saw...in brazil

  • @blitzkiller3178 he said Sao Paulo and it is in Brazil!

  • and i just read your next comment xD!

  • Awesome! And Eddie speaking portuguese is class!

  • I fucking love that !

  • the intro kicks your fucking ass

  • it's like a dream moment.. you get 2 of the best bands of the 90's.. put them together in front of thousands and thousands of brazilians and let them play a cover of one of the most revolutinary american bands of all times.. FUCKING AMAZING!!!

  • 15 people are real muther fuckers!! This is hard hitting!!

  • brazil for the win;

  • cheers to MC5 !!!!

  • this sucks...no one can do better than rage against the machine !!!!! thumbs up ofr those who disliked, this is a real mess !!!!

  • @RATM57 No one can do it better then MC5 and this version is great. Just like Rage's version is great

  • ROCK N ROLL MOTHERFUCKERS!!

  • Crashbonasera. If you ever disrespect Eddie vedder again I will hunt you down and do things to you that would make John Wayne gacy vomit.

  • Thanks for ruining another great song, Eddie Cheddar.

  • They Done Kicked "Em Out!!! !..!<

  • um dos melhores shows!!!!

  • um dos melhores shows!!!!

  • Seems like Brazil really rocks! !..!, They done kicked 'em out!(motherfuckers!...)

  • Seems like Brazil really rocks! !..!,

  • Bahaha, I def agree...Eddie is so high XD

  • Not even close to MC5's original.

  • they do the MC5 proud. now when are the 5 getting into the R&R Hall of Shame?

  • @kem31753 ummm probably never, i'm still amazed the Ramones got in

  • he needs to quite speakin that france and just get on with it

  • This rocked way harder that Rage!! This cover is awesome!!!!

  • love Eddie speaking portuguese

  • I find it hard to choose between this and the Rage cover. This is more rocker where Rage is more attitude. I guess it depends on what style you're in the mood for.

  • damnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn its been a while since i last heard this song... i always get the goosebumps

  • bass player ruins prechorus, wrong tabs... glad the rest made a perfect job on this. :D

  • This is a WAY better cover then RATM

    RIP rock 'n' roll

    1955-1995

  • JAm's??...IT's time to Kick Out the JAm's Motherfucker's!!!!!!!

  • holy shit

  • Grunge's Who's who...soundgarden drummer, mudhoney vocalist and guitarist, pearl jam vocalist, guitarists & bassist...thereby reforming green river....Now if only dave grohl were there as well, and the family would have been complete...btw mark arm looks really different here....

  • this fucking rocks. Rob Tyner would be proud!!!

  • let me get this right

it takes two fucking bands playing together to pull off what MC5 did with one band

i think it's over cooked man

i prefer the HELLACOPTERS version ,,

they should have done it one their own , you dont need all these cunts on stage ,,, its fear of not having enuff power,, MC5 rule fuckers !!!!!!!

  • i love the way eddie spends the first minuite carefully trying to peice together a sentence, then mark just comes in like 'KICK OUT THE JAMS MOTHAFUCKAAAAS' lol.

  • Ed Vedder spoke portuguese and he did pretty well. It's a very hard language and it sounded perfectly understandable for all brazilians. Awesome cover, PJ and Mudhoney rule!!! Kickin' Out The Jams! Thanks for posting.

  • @SibilVaneCS dude the guy might be fucked up beyond belief but thats the shit that really makes a fan feel special. pretty fucking cool of him. and an MC5 cover that didnt get butchered! fuck yah!

  • every version of this song gives me the chills, the energy and the in your face attitude. gotta love it

  • Why is every cover of this song fucking amazing?

  • @madderdaddy2 Because this song is so amazing! A great song can cross genres, styles, and even sexual boundaries and still be great." Crossroads" by Cream, "Hurt" by Cash, etc. You just gotta love it. I don't think you could find a bad version of this song anywhere.

  • @blueskreeper

"Hurt" by Cash implying that he wrote the song?

  • @LivesUnderABridge No and I didn't imply that Cream wrote Crossroads either, That was Robert Johnson. I only said a good song can carry it's weight anywhere, by anybody, in any style and still be a good song. It is the song more than the artist who performs that makes it great.

  • kick out the jams!!!!!!!

  • That dude's vocals are sick!

  • I luv me some mudhoneys. and pearl jams

  • anal!

  • eu fui nesse show. ducaralho

  • Eddie Vedder + portugués no buena combinación... :P

  • @ninive207

    thats spanish...

it should be "combinação não boa"

  • i saw the MC5 reunion with Mark singing; FUCKING COOLEST THING EVER!!! talked to Mr McLaughlin for a long time afterwards; coolest guy EVER; period. zero rockstar attitude. I love that guy!!!

  • semi green river reunion. sick

  • the singing seems rather uncoordinated...or is it just me?

  • @demoncrusherdude We all know who is being the real retard here. Did you come out of a vat of formaldehyde or something??

  • fucking great

  • FUCK YEAH Mudhoney kills it here! Mark is such an awesome frontman, Eddie's great too, this is amazing kick out the jams MUTHERFUCKERS!!!!!!!!!!

  • Lol. eddie try to talk spanish! when he is in Brazil! :P

    EDIT

  • @SodaPopDumb he tried to talk portuguese xD

  • @SkaterFippe4 it didnt seemed he did xD well it went well i guess

  • Lol. eddie try to talk spanish!

  • Yes, I have to agree, best cover I've seen to this song. People don't rock like that anymore, it's sad.

  • Jeff Buckley's cover is cooler, maybe exept from the bass.

  • who the fuck is that playing MY punk rock?

  • cool!!!

  • I've been going through all the Kick Out the Jams, and I think this may be my favorite. Of course...it took them twice as many people to rock it as hard as MC5.

  • Mark and Steve stole that one, yea I know all about the original, and no band will ever do it, they can only visit it

  • they did ok but the MC5 , well...nevermind

  • YAY MOTHERFUCKER! KISS MY BAlls

  • ;-)

  • Guitar orgy out there!!

  • good cover song best one i heard so far people seem to not Relize how much rock and roll ows to the MC5 they honestly were a band that was way a head of their time....

  • this is awesome, was hoping for a GreenRiver song

  • MARK ARM ROOLS!

    EDDIE VEDDER DROOLS!

  • Still, BOC did it best

  • Bundle of Hiss, man...!

  • agree fully..

  • Right now.. It's time to Kick out the Jam motherfuckers!!!!!!

  • Awesome

  • rockin

  • disco,never reached that rage that MC5 did,rebel.

  • Compared to the MC5 EVERYTHING´s disco, mate. But still a good version.

  • Silverchair also made a decent cover of this song.. they even sang it much way better than RATM, strong song!

  • green river

  • MATT CAMERON FUCK YEAH!

  • This song has been done by many:

    MC5 (Original!)

    RATM

    Presidents of the USA

    Jeff Buckley

    Pearl Jam...

  • @RobertJohnson1938 Dont forget Street Sweeper Social Club................its amazing haha!

  • @RobertJohnson1938

and silverchair as well, and played strong!

  • This version is epic... -wait for it - ... BULLSHIT

  • @ForeverHammer why dontcha like it?

  • OMG, this timeless, EPIC tune says it ALL, and they do right by it.....

    Respect

  • I thought this was a RATM cover. I was pleasantly surprised.

  • MC5, man !!!

lots of covers of this song

  • eddie veders tummy must always hurt.

  • They will never make songs as good as mc5s, but at least they know it's good and play it.

  • fucking wrong....i think some of mc5's songs are NO match against mudhoney's "flat out fucked" or pearl jam's "brain of J"......just because mc5 is classic stuff doesnt mean they where perfect...i think mc5's last album sucked balls terribly....and im saying that as an mc5 fan....(take a peek at my channel & you'll see)....im being honest & sometimes people must not exagerate the status of some classic rock acts...i think its getting way out of proportion...

  • @theachtungtree You are right but there's no denying that KOTJ established MC5's place in rock history. Compared to everything else being played then it was on another planet. Detroit Rock was on another planet!!!

  • god damn

  • The time has come for you to decide whether you are gonna be the problem, or whether you are gonna be the solution. You must choose brothers, you must choose.

Genx has decided to be the problem. FUCK 'EM! They deserve the shithole world they are creating.

  • If only Zack was there as 3rd vocalist.

  • HONEYPEARLMUDJAM!!!

  • This is great the best thing I have heard in a long time.

  • I'm not much of Pearl Jam, but I really wish I was there at the moment

  • Good version! Thanks!

  • i believe vedder is high as kite:P

  • Drunk, methinks, but yeah, fucked up either way. :P

good cover! steve turner really rocks this one!

  • this has gotta be the best cover by a mile !!!! "...WE GOTTA KICK `EM OUT..."

  • @andys001 seriously! didnt butcher it! so good

  • viva el grunge..!!!!!!

  • VIVA EL GRUNGE...!!!!!!!!!!!

  • jetsonic: i couldn't agree more + MC5!!!

  • Why dont Street Sweepers Social Club, Rage Against The Machine, Pearl Jam, Nine Inch Nails and Chris Cornell ALL JAM ON THIS INCREDIBLE SONG ? :) KICK OUT THE PEARL JAMS =)

  • if jeff buckley was still alive he should join in aswell cuz he did an amazin cover of this song!

  • One of the best Kick Out The Jams cover that I have ssen

  • this is awesome. seeing green river together again at subpop20 was a highlite of my life. It was on my birthday too. You should look at my video for Frank McKracken. Very grunge of course as I'm from Seattle. Peace all

  • ¿En que idioma habla? eso no es Portugües!!!!

Son tan buenos los Mudhoney, por que no fueron mas populareS?

  • Mark Arm is the fucking man. Mudhoney is just fucking mind blowing. Steve Turner one of the greats. Pearl Jam is amazing. What can be said about these two being together?

Oh yea Green River. Shit man, "grunge" had so many good fucking bands.

  • Soundgarden, man. And what about the ones no one talks about? Love Battery? Skin Yard? The Fluid? Tad?

  • Mudhoney is better.

  • Well YEAH, but still...

  • mc5 eats mudhoney.

  • yea, no one ever mentions the Fluid anymore...or Love battery for that matter

  • Good cover!!! kick out the jams!!!

  • Wha? Grunge? Really? For THAT you say Grunge Rules?

Rob Tyner has that written on his fucking tombstone in Detroit.

His words. MC5. Let me be who I am/And let me kick out the jams. Thanks to Pearl Jam and Mudhoney for letting their fans know, even if their fans don't know, where it comes from.

  • grunge rules!!!

  • way better than the rage agains the machine's version this guys rock!! just like this song!!

  • im a huge fan of eddie vedder .. but i think that the other guy did a better job singing this song :) ... dont get me wrong ... cuz eddie is a great singer 2

  • Yes mark Arm rules

  • Mark Arm.

  • im a huge pj fan...more than mudhoney...yeah youre right..im really aware of eddie's voice..when its a slow song he's really into it, absolute perfection..but when is a fast song he really shits some of them sometimes...he's old & his voice isnt as strong as it used to be..so sad bro, cause he was better than this mudhoney guy back then...same case for robert plant too... :(

  • lol he's not that old!! His voice is still powerful!!

  • i said sometimes..not always...he's still pretty good ....

  • Steve Turner really did an amazing sole!

  • kick out tha jams mutha fucker

  • muddhoney is amazing. shame they never got huge like pearl jam or nirvana.

this is awesome. thanks for the upload.

    KICK OUT THE JAMS MOTHERFUCKER!!

  • @ExileCanadaMetal

It was a different age, there were lots of fresh new material when mc5 started and dispite them being fresh they were only a fresh fruit in a fresh pomar.

  • @ExileCanadaMetal Its not that Mudhoney couldnt. Its that they didnt want to. The whole idea behind the grunge scene was to keep it small

  • exilecanadametal, the "keeping it small" worked out great huh? or should I say "aye" canuck...

  • @connolly420 you're an ignorant fuck eh

  • @DandDkid come on now, you know that ain't true :) It's just that Mudhoney didn't have the 'face for radio' that Kurt had and they didn't have the poppier tunes. I like Mudhoney all the more for it too.

  • @capncapncapn Nirvana definately had a face for radio, more so than a lot of the other bands of the era. But the other bands who werent as big preferred to stay small and viewed PJ and the big ones as sell-outs. I personally dont believe they were. :D

  • eddie vedder looks wasted. lol.

  • Whaaaa! Amaing performance! :D

  • MUDHONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
