  • This Lady was always so cool and understated. My absolute favorite for many, many years (still is).I've always wished I could have seen her perform in person.

  • Longtime favorite. Always perfection.

  • i love this song, and peggy lee, she is amazing

  • This is cool like nothing else... and possibly the sexiest thing ever.

  • Beautiful voice, but after you've heard Ma Rainey sing it, it comes across as shallow and out of place...just my opinion.

  • hey I know the moments POP stars (Brittany et al) get a lot of publicity, but don't forget current singers like Diana Krall , Norah Jones and there's gotta be somebody else! help me out here?

  • She is fantastic, and can make any song her own. There is one other woman singer in her league...jo stafford.

  • Making this classic Blues song 'swing' was her idea.

  • I'm just picturing Elvis making an entrance to this.

  • Superb... Peggy Lee was Ice Jazz..... this clip is from a DVD of a TV show called Fever: the Music of Peggy Lee, which is a terrific 60-minute doc of the great singer.

  • Ladies and Gentlemen: Presenting the coolest woman who ever graced this planet......................

  • Amazing!!!!

  • I wish this whole show was available. I have researched and didn't have much luck. DARN!!!!!

  • this is from the dvd "Fever: The Music of Miss Peggy Lee" its still available keep lookin'

  • this is from the dvd FEVER: The Music of Peggy Lee .. you can find it on amazon

  • "See See Rider", also known as "C.C. Rider" or "See See Rider Blues" or "Easy Rider" is a popular American 12-bar blues song. It was first recorded by Gertrude "Ma" Rainey in 1924, and since then has been recorded by many other artists; including Peggy Lee and Rory Emerald. ♥

  • She was one of my favourites and saw her at least 4 times; anyhow, guys, there were so many fantastic female jazz singers, so check em out: Chris Connors, Anita O'Day, Sarah, Ella, Carmen McRae, Helen Merill, June Christy. Just be careful when you say best! Certainly among the best of the best.

  • Am I dreaming? Lethal note-bending, and a visual 10!

  • OMG sooooooooooooooo sexy she was a SUPERSTAR what a voice

  • LEGEND!

  • Looks Stunning and probably the best jazz/swing voice in popular music EVER!

  • listen to Jane Monheit. They both are amazing.

  • and now we worship jessica simpson and britany spears?!?! what the fuck!! how low can people go?

  • @tagalag i dont worship those hoes man, dunno what you been smokin

  • God I wish I had lived in this period.

  • me too! what a classy and sexy lady she was!

  • Does anybody know from which show her performance was taken? I wonder if she did more songs on that show. I love this performance.

  • PERFECTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS! It gives me goose bumps! Simply stunning!

  • Lol! I got goosebumps too!

  • a voice like vapour, floating over the horns...awesome

  • perfection

  • I had heard somewhere a female rendition of the song. This was not it (in some ways it is better). I am still trying to figure out who I heard.

  • I agree sincopare. I love how she's already made up to go to makeup for the show. That's a star baby.

  • Lord, whisk me back 50 years so I could have seen this in person!

  • ...pure class!

  • One of the most fascinating stars of all time. This performance proves she is on the very top!

  • Haunting indeed! A gem; thanks for uploading it.
