I've been watching on TV Land since 2003 and the weirdest thing is now they have a version of the opening with Copyright 1966, renewed 1994 CPT Holdings, Inc. instead of the traditional Screen Gems byline they used to use the original series
Ironically, the new animation of Dick York sitting at the table for the Aunt Jemimah promo actually looks more like Dick Sargent that the redesigned animation for the Season 6 titles does (once you get to 1966-67, Screen Gems ended their partnership with Hanna-Barbera, which handled the original animation, and the animation done after that for some of the new sponsor openings just doesn't match up very well at times).
In most of the Quaker Oats-sponsored titles, note the usual "frying pan" on the stove [:34] is replaced by a "teapot". This is because two of Quaker's many products were "Quaker Oats" and "Aunt Jemima Pancake Mix"- and they weren't supposed to SMOKE when you cooked them on a stove! {Heaven forbid that viewers would get the wrong idea....} Gary Owens is Quaker's announcer.
c'est dommage que sur les DVD il on coupé la version du vrai générique de la saison 3 de ma sorcière bien aimée car le théme son est vraiment génial !
Yes it was...in season 5, it was changed just slightly for the Kodak sponsored episodes. The chimes were not heard and the twitch sound effect was now that of the twitch effect you normally hear in the episodes.
I love watching all these ..what an injustice they are not included on the DVDS or evern the in color tag...I only remember watching Bewitched in prime time during its last season 1971-72
was this version of the theme used in all the color Dick York episodes fr Fall 1966 til 1969?
I hate that they used the first seasons theme version on all the Dick York seasons color and black and white..
OMG!

Yo, I remember this opening as a kid. This shit was so spooky to me that i was afraid to eat Quaker Oats or Grits for years.

Dick Sargent was supposed to be Darrin to begin with but he had to be replaced due to an upcoming film role at the time

Sony should have used sponsors on the DVD's and removed the Season One Music dubbed onto the Seasons 2-5 Intro

@livinlarge18 And not to mention not ask Dynacs to color the Grayscale Episodes but Restore the Colored Versions

I like to joke that I'm a "cereal killer" - first I'll take your Life, then your Cap'n Crunch! ;-)
(BTW, both are Quaker Oats products)
