J'écoutais cette chanson, par Jacqueline, quand je passais mes vacances chez mon tonton Edmond et ma tata Gisèle ... Mon dieu, il y a si longtemps et tous les souvenirs sont toujours là dans ma mémoire.
Heavens to Charles Trenet! What an absolutely beautiful version of one of my all time favorite songs. Sheer heaven to listen too. This fantastic French lady is not only lovely but has quite a unique voice. Thank you...or should I say MERCI...for sharing this delightful "blast from the past" with us! You've MADE my day & my weekend! :)
Jacqueline Francois was not know widely in the United States. I found Jacquline here on You Tube when I listened to her sing La Mer and Que Sera, Sera. Jacqueline François was born Jacqueline Guillemautot on January 30, 1922 in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France and died on March 7, 2009 in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France.
I don't think Shannon sings this in Lost. She sings a french translation of the English song Beyond the Sea that uses unrelated lyrics as appeared in the film Finding Nemo.
indeed shanon was singing the song on lost....and the most funny thing of all the next episode of lost will be called beyond the sea....the episode of jacob and the man in black....can;t wait till tuesday
Its amazing how we hear something on TV and then it turns out thousands of other people out there heard the same thing and are looking for it. I heard it on LOST as well!!!
Me too! They really had great music in that show. Check out Joe Purdy- Wash Away, The Blind Boys of Alabama - I shall Not Walk Alone, and Willie Nelson - Are you sure. All great songs, all in Season 1 of Lost.
I like a bit more Robbie's version, because it's faster, but that is my personal style, this is a beautiful version and jacquelline's voice makes it even better. Respectable woman and beafutiful song. I heard it the first in Finding Nemo, and then in French in ¨Lost¨. I couldn't stop hearing it.
Gorgeous piece of music.

Yes! She is - in my book - a National Treasure, and I wish we would acknowledge her talent more!
So many don't know her! Their loss!
