  • Wow---"Stranger in Paradise" was a hit even on the Moon!!!

  • So I was watching the MST3K version of this on the plane to Hawaii....it got awkward.

  • This is a take-off from Fokine's choreography.

  • What's that pyramid structure on the bottom right of the screen in the movie/ Big brother watching???

  • Why did they think that advanced alien civilizations looked like ancient Greece?

  • FULL EPISODES TV[.]USNETXXX[.]COM

  • ; Rehearsal? We don't need no stinking rehearsal.

    Cheers!

  • Please put the complete movie for us to enjoy. Thanks.

  • Please put the rest of the movie up for us to enjoy. Your version does not have the jerks making dumb comments.

There is a version of this movie on YouTube but it is from the SciFi Channel with the 3 goofs making comments and spoiling the movie.

  • I'm sorry, but that"s not what I do. This series of clips specialises only in scenes showing corny, but slightly erotic, dance numbers. If you really want to watch the full movie you can buy it cheap on eBay or it may be available to download somewhere on The Net.

  • Believe me... The navel men were not drunk on two cups of 'spirits'... If you know what I mean... No man would... They were laid out before they finished the second cup...

  • I wish I had some of that "cheese cake." Damn!

  • it s true nothing likethem fire maidens dancing

    Stranger in Paradise

I never figured out why they were called Fire Maidens

  • Actually that "old boy" with the white hair was only 23!

  • Obviously the studio had some costumes and sets left over from some sword 'n sandals epic..... Waste not, want not.....

  • There's nothing cheesy about good choreography.

  • Ballet is cheesecake for rich people.

  • this isn't cheesecake..it's actually art, done well and reminescent of russian ballet. the score is famous.

  • You're absolutely right - this film is high art and should not be smeared by the use of the term "cheesecake". That term should only be used for those cheap, lurid films where scantily-clad pretty girls dance around for no other purpose than the sexual arousal of men.

I'm not sure why I didn't see it before. Please forgive me. I promise I won't include any more classy films like this one in this series.

  • As Leonard Maltin said about the film in his reference book "TV Movies", "You haven't lived until you've seen the Fire Maidens dance to 'Stranger In Paradise'".

  • The guy on the left, looks like the guy who plays CSI New York.

  • Using Borodin's "Polovetsian Dances" was smart. No copyrights, no royalties. And it's still a nice musical backdrop for dancing girls.

  • Ah, for the innocent days of '50s sorority....

  • And that's why we should explore the stars.

  • 1;18 she poured that like right in my ear

  • Why do movies like this always assume that aliens in outer space look exactly like us, except that they wear their pajamas in the daytime?

  • anthony dexter made the perfect valentino. as for this film, i can honestly say i've seen worse...i'm an mst3k fan.

  • I had to look up "mst3k" to see what it meant. For the ignorant like me, it stands for "Mystery Science Theatre 3000". I watched a few clips of their stuff on Youtube and found it a little tedious and self-congratulatory. For me, the films themselves are much funnier than those lame commentaries.

  • I sort of agree mst3k can be good, but i do get a feeling that they are really pleased with themselves sending up those movies, they only really work when its a movie that is so bad it doesn't even have a campy or funny quality to it.

  • Well done for posting this!!!-easily the WORST film ever made!!!-worse even than Plan 9 From Outer Space!!-and like me its British!!!

  • As I was watching this I thought to myself what a big budget production this was compared to "Robot Monster", which is basically a couple of people running around a quarry. This thing has, by comparision: (a) a cast of thousands; (b) fancy sets like a roman temple and sacrificial altar; (c) THREE choreographed dance numbers (think of the time and effort that went into that!); (d) all of those expensive fancy costumes; and (e) a script with some long sentences.
