  • will somebody please put more ted greene and lenny breau stuff on youtube, holy fuck they are good at guitar

  • Thanks so much for posting.

  • Beautiful sounds and nice techniques that I'm sure Ted and Lenny would smile upon BUT what happened to the audio / video sync? To try to learn something from this unless you already have a real head start has to be frustrating. This is several seconds out of whack and I sure hope it will be fixed. The shared lesson is much appreciated!

  • Very very pretty

    thanks and thanks

I think i can do it now

    Cheers man

  • god of course!! I always wanted to know how ted got that almost 'double harmonic' sound with chords - thought he was doing something weird and producing two clean simultaneous harmonics - but it's just one harmonic and a regular note - wow - so simple. thanks!

  • sweet lesson!

  • Awesome, thank you!

  • good stuff Rich

  • Great Videos, thank you for sharing these. Seems like they are a year or 2 old will we ever see #3 of more videos here???

One thing that is a great idea is to go to tedgreene (dot) com and check the video section there and DON'T MISS the clips from MI - the harps intro to "Send In The Clowns" will blow your mind

  • A BIG THANKS! Needed by advanced players, especialy. Thanks again.

  • i learned this stuff from Eric Johnson and he called it the Lenny Breau technique

  • AND, I hear Lenny first heard it on Chet Atkins

    recordings. :)

  • Lenny's Idols were Tal and Chet

    so you are both right

  • Great Ted!!!

  • Great stuff, thanks alot!

  • thanks, i was looking for a lesson on something exactly like this.

    Great effect, technique. THanks.

  • This is awesome...thank you very much. Let's give Lenny Breau some of the credit for creating this approach. He was already doing it back in the 60's.

  • Chet Atkins was doing it back in the 40s & 50s.

    Wonder who originated it?

  • This technique (fingered and open harmonics combined with normal tones) has been known for hundreds of years. Francisco Tarrega (1852-1909) wrote a reasonably well-known short piece using it called La Alborada (The music box). There are some recordings on youtube, see if you can find the barbosa-lima version (some of the others aren't very well played).

  • great stuff!

  • ted rcks!
