  • Can't mention Gorbachev without mentioning the leader of anti-communism revolution "Ronald Reagan".

  • Gorbachev and Ronald Reagan should be ranked close to each other.

Reagan was the activist (the Mandela) against communism; Gorbachev was the one who legally ended it (the Declerk).

  • Winston Churchill should be higher on the list. #2 only behind FDR.

If FDR and Churchill's enemies had won, this list would be completely different!

  • #50: For better or worse, she pretty much started the birth-control movement. A-

#49: Again, I don't think any living people should make the list. However, I can't deny the impact Gorbachev has had in the fall of the USSR. B

  • My thoughts and "grades" of each person in this part:

#54: Expanded the world's knowledge of cultures and ways of life with his travels. A+

#53: Expanded the knowledge of radioactivity; discovered at least 2 new elements and won the Nobel Prize--and all this done by a woman! A

#52: Just the man the UK needed to lead them through WW2. A+

#51: His work led to the eradication of one of the deadliest diseases on the planet. A+

  • marie curie was merely making coffee for her husband ! i also think the best form of birth control is swallowing and anal.

  • marie curie was merely making coffee for her husband !

  • the art of war? sounds like an oxymoron.

  • curies' notebooks are still lethally radioactive....that is amazing

  • I'm surprised that J.R.R. Tolkien or C.S. Lewis didn't make the list. I mean, they wrote some of the greatest book series of all time.

  • mikhail made it that high

  • are you kidding margaret sanger was f***ing crazy... you should read some of the crap she wrote...ugh... and also planned parenthood was started as a way to rid the planet from poor people and people who were "genetically inferior"..... Well Hitler's on here so not everyone has had positive influence.

  • I think you've just saved my English project. I needed #50. Thank you!

  • Small Poxes is back

  • A war criminal in the person of henry kissinger is brought to comment on the importance of statesmen and politicians. This countdown is ideologically perverted, eurocentric and skewed.

  • That was just a game where you said his name in the pool...although he might have been :/

  • Thanks so much! We had to take notes on these at school, but they go by so fast and I missed some... you're a real life saver!
