These are the Beatles all right. the harmonies are unmistakeable. John was a lot younger but his voice is very distinctive. Must be 1962 or before....
Wikipedia says the Beatles recorded this. If somebody is certain this isn't them please direct us all to the real version of The Beatles doing it. Thanks.
Believe it or not, this IS the Beatles! Very early Beatles, one of the many, many, recordings they worked on at Abbey Road Studios that they never used and/or finished.
Well, the group is called BAS MUYS, it's an excellent 13 songs LP that they release at the end of the 80's under the title THE SONGS THE BEATLES GAVE AWAY , the singer is the same of Stars on 45 and it was hard to find to me. All the Lp. is XLNT and highly recommended ... get it if you can !!!

The Beatles records of this music were erased, its fake, its not them singing, and all their musics of 62-63 that they recorded had a worst audio quality.

Wow! I remember this band. No they're not the Beatles. I don't where they're from but I got a copy of their album about 30 years ago. The group's name is BUS MUYS. Brings back lots of memories.
Hmmm....now that I listen better this morning though, it doesn`t sound so much like The Beatles....because the base doesn`t sound a lot like Paul`s usual base playing, and if it`s John singing, he did something to his voice to make it sound flatter than usual. It still could go either way though.
Definitely NOT The Beatles or John Lennon on this recording. When you've been listening to them as long as many of us fans have, you know immediately! Still a really cool version of this song.
This is John Lennon's song and his band.I think Paul is not there. I have the cassette tape that I bought during the 80's titled The Beatles Rarities with more rare songs that they composed.
not Beatles - yes BAS MUYS

It's Tommy Quickly, but written by Lennon/McCartney. More likely a McCartney composition. Sounds like his "style" more.

This probably is Apple Jam, a great band from Seattle that does Beatles music. They released a CD of unreleased Beatles material, including this song:
Google "apple jam" and you'll find their web site. Also you can find their videos here on YouTube.

Tbe Beatles did record it during asession at EMI in Nov 1962, but they didn't like it so the tape was erased and the song given to Tommy Quickley.

WRONG ! Faux. La chanson est biens dans ces reliques du passé, mais c'est Tommy Quickly qui la chante (massacre devrais-je dire).
Alors que là, on n'en sait rien. Ça pourrait être Lennon tant c'est super bien chanté.

I think that Lennon-Mc Cartney's song is still many more, where's another? and who's sing it? Baris Mus, isn't he?
antomoyo 2 years ago
This isn't the Beatles (good try!) but is infinitely better than the Tommy Quickly version (poor lad couldn't really sing).
NonInflatable 2 years ago
Hi..Are your sure this isn't the Beatles? If it's not them, then is is the best John Lennon impersonation that I have ever heard.
I'm not arguing your statement....I just want to know who this is singing if it isn't the fabs.

Thanks for posting, it brings me a great memories of my school days
