I wish I had obese edges like that. Mine are like wispy thin and malnourished naturally because I take care of them so im not sure why they are like that.
Hey Love your videos and just sub but i was wondering how much of the conditioner, honey and castor oil do mix together. And do you put it in a special bottle?
Two Quick Questions: Why do you recommend not putting conditioner on your scalp? and Why do you not recommend sleeping with conditioner in your hair over night? BTW Thanks for all of your informative videos :)
lolz i tried sleepin with conditioner in my hair, omg it came out all matted and so hard to comb. It was horribl lolz something i will never do again. (this was b4 i saw dis vid so dnt feel bad lolz)
@kiiimeluv :: Honey has antimicrobial properties & is strong humectant, meaning it absorbs water from the air around it. When used topically it is an incredible aid in moisturization of the strands.
u are awesome. im gonna try your honey, conditioner, castor oil technique. thanks for all your videos. they are really informative. when you wear your braids, how many times do you wash your hair??
your hair is exactly like mine. that puff you did is my everyday hair do...lol.....what do you do after you wash your hair to stretch it out...because i saw it shrink in your vid and mine also shrink
May I ask how long you keep your styles? I am seeking to grow my natural hair as long as it will grow, lol. I think my best bet is to do protective styles (two strand twists...) What do you think. I try to keep mine in for a while then wash, condition and twist it back up.
When I 1st started out I thought 2-3 weeks was long, nowadays I go more like 5-6 weeks. You HAVE to love to embrace frizz if you're gonna go that long 'cause otherwise no go...but in the long run you retain more length, period. Hope that helps! p.s. can I post the Q&A on my blog?
Thank you so much. What's funny is that I do not mind the frizz so much, lol. My problem is that my scalp starts itching like crazy after 4 days of a protective style...then I just take the hairstyle down and shampoo and condition and redo it, lol. I cannot stand it when my scalp starts itching. I feel like my scalp is screaming "WASH ME" . I may need to change shampoos (I use Trader Joe's Nourish Spa at the moment).
Sure!! (about the posting). Thanks again for your advice.
hmmm.... maybe it's not dirty, maybe you could try a scalp massage. you know with no manipulation i've heard people say they itch more...if you massage your scalp you'll bring more blood/circulation to the surface and it may help with the itching. iono but it's worth a shot. if you try it let me know if it helps!
I will surely let you know next time my scalps starts itching like crazy, lol. I will definitely give that scalp massage a try. Thanks for the advice, I have never heard that explanation before.
chellur. honey is a humectant that attracts moisture to the hair. since you're washing it out no worries, but honestly it doesn't make it that sticky at all come to think of it.
i just dont dont know why but funny enaf this is one of my favourite videos.i wonder, is it the donkey slippers or the shrek slippers,oh! i know its the personality behind this video.U r a wonderful person and i bet u will make a wonderful mum.God bless the child. Thanks for the inspiration.
not necessarily. if you don't have time the 2nd best thing is to sit under the dryer. then 3rd would be just walk around the house all day like that. it's all about conditioner and heat from your head having time to soften tangles and moisturize the strands. i prefer the overnighter.
I love your videos very fun and informative! Where do you buy your band that you used in this video for your puff? I have been looking for it. Thanks!
This is great! I thought that you had a different texture that i did, but your hair is the same as mine and has only about 2-3 inches more than I. I will do this and let you know what I think later
your hair is soooo beautiful. Mine is about the same length but it's so tightly curled my mother teases me and says nobody wears a jerry curl anymore b/c that's what it looks like wet.....anyway, love your videos and black hair is sooooo beautiful!!!
i've been natural since 2002 and i hack my hair off all the time so i can't really answer that question, buuuut, if i shaved my head and let it grow i'd say that would be 2 years of growth, maybe 2.5
Love your videos! You're hilarious! Your hair is so gorgeous! Let me just say, I LOVE CASTILE SOAP! Do you use Eucalyptus Castile Soap, because that looks like the bottle...I use it as well :)
I'm planning on keeping some cornrows for a while. This really is helpful in giving me an idea of what I'm in store for :) Thanks for sharing girl! 1 question. After wearing your puff like that after washing, is it still detangled at the end of the day? Do you detangle again dry or wet at night???
This was so helpful. I get scared when I see that much hair in my comb/brush, so okay this is normal. Your hair looks like mine. I haven't seen all your vids yet, so this question may already be answered...how long have you been natural? Your hair is BEAUTIFUL!
Do you use a finishing product at the end to define your curls or control frizz? Or is the final look a result of using the shea butter or coconut oil? Thanks.
Questions: How wet was your hair when you put in the shea butter and oil? And how wet was it prior to your brushing it up into a puff? Did you have to do any extra detangling after you got out of the shower prior to brushing?
my ends are terrible, and it happens to be wash day today. Since I can't condition overnight (hair needs to be ready tomorrow) I will atleast get the castor oil and coconut oil. and condition while at home! U looked LOVELY at the end!
P.S.
All this time (years, lol) I've been pronouncing ur name wrong. Very nice to finally be able to know the truth. I was thinking it was pronounced ROE SHE NEE :) I had Ini right, lol
Great hair, great video! I know you scalp felt like heaven after taken your cornrows out and giving it a good shampoo scrubbing. I love the first wash after taken down cornrows. I can really get in there and massage my scalp. hmm. Thanks for the video.
Well, I don't know about SOMEBODY but it help me yes! I will definitely be using this. I does get so annoyed with my washing/conditioning process. Laziness mixed with longer hair is not good. Thanks Glamazini!
First, WOW! Lovely hair. and not just cuz you have a lot of it. But it's really beautiful. Second, why am I cracking up at the loss of energy/enthusiasm from the night recording to the early morning one? lol. But thanks for the video. I'll try this once I get more hair on my head.
hi. these cornrows/twists were in for 6.5 weeks...way too long for the cornrows honestly but because it was winter and my hair grew slower this season (plus i'm lazy) i kept them. i love fuzzy twists though so i keep those for 6 weeks often
Your hair grows so much lady!!! i remember you saying you were growing it out for your wedding ( back on chocolate brides) then you cut a bunch off last year... I see this video and bam...it's back! That's sooo fresh
hey you. i love that people think my hair is so long now when it's not that long in my book based on past lengths :) ... i think i'll grow it out all 2009 and see what i get
the last time i went natural was november 2002. since then i've cut my hair MANY times ... i'm totally scissor happy so this is not by far 7 years of growth. i think i'll just let it grow in 2009 see what i get :)
