While Whitney Houston so far doesn't seem that bad (around $75 in US dollars for a UK date next spring, all of the Internet downloading which caused a loss of revenue through music sales, must make up for it in the form of live shows. And with many lip-synchin' divas, I'm only seeing artists who first came out before 1995! Oldies are the goodies; I even saw a free Dionne Warwick concert (and 3rd row) this year along with a free Aretha Franklin performance. Don't waste money on that Gaga/Miley!
basically the prices are at what people are willing to pay... enough people can afford it at those prices, so they stay where they are :( thats economics for u...but I feel u
In regards to your second part of your blog. I completely agree with you. I've seen a certian Canadian indie band a few times in bars and always have a great time. We get the pictures/signatures/hugs/chats etc. Doesn't hurt that my group of friends are actually FRIENDS with the band. So that's a extra cool bonus
Did any of you learn simple economics in school? It's simply supply and demand. If the first wave of people bought tickets and all went to the concerts instead of selling them. All of the procrastinators would be stuck at home. Then the second issue is that if I have four tickets to lets say the superbowl and I sell them too cheap they all go fast and procrastinators still do not go. Simple economics people get the price they want. Big oil gouges, Abercrombie gouges, Starbucks gouges etc. etc.
that is true. i feel u on this! they do have some say after meeting with their management and then they discuss with their tour promoters! i'm goin to see Janet Jackson and her VIP package is $1,200-$1,000 and it doesn' include Meet and Greet. She may not even be doing greets at all this tour n many fans have paid $600 or so for Gold Circle seating! interesting sheeit!
i dont care, i love getting beat with big old sticks, becasue they are old and brittle, so they may just break on impact..... harmless to me! :D And yess concert tickects are expensive.
omg eh, that is freakin expensive!! Just avril too, shes comin here but i dont have that kinda cash! I just got tix for hedley for bout 40 bucks, which isnt bad, but after we pay gas to get there, and parking and all that, its def addin up!! plus to top it off, they cancelled the first show, and we didnt find out till we drove all the way there!!!!!
You are complaining, and you have 100 percent right to complain. It's insane. Concerts are probably the worst but sporting events are right behind them. Meanwhile you and I work hard for our 12 dollars an hour or so. Do all the complaining you. Hey, you look awesome. Rick
well, black veil brides costs 14$ and its jus go there and sit anywhere

I actually paid 113.00 for a Celine ticket when I saw her in Toronto in August. It WAS a really good show but not my absolute fave concert ever.

I agree entirely.
It's always the ones that are more "underground" that are more friendly and sociable (not to mention realistic), isn't it?
Sigh....

Too bad you're a part of the gay community (don't mean that as an offense- one loss for the guys) because you have a tremendously beautiful face!
