Pool your resources into that village, pratice organic farming, and sell excess to the market. Live simply in that village but make available simple forms of communications like the internet. Pool your resources into that village, pratice organic farming, and sell excess to the market. Live simply in that village but make available simple forms of communications like the internet. @4L0n31 Banking system and bank owned media is the Matrix. We are all in debt to bankers for money that banks create out of nothing when we borrow. It is financial slavery. Your mortgage debt is for money that is created when you borrow. Government borrows the same way and tax payer pays interest on public debt. Search for "How do banks create money" to understand how deep the rabbit hole goes. Take the red pil to unplug yourself. Reject usury. Usury=interest. World Wars were fought for this.

The whole point of the Matrix, something almost everybody has missed, is that we the audience root for the bad guys. Neo and co are ideological terrorists. The world is destroyed, it's a lifeless wasteland run by machines. The only place in the planet were humans can exist is Zion and even then it's a rusty metal undergound crap hole. While in the Matrix humans exist, cared for by the machines, in blissful ignorance and virtual paradise.

...The first thing trinity does at the beginning of the movie is kill police officers, men with families. Why? Because while they are in the Matirix they are the enemy, but not everyone can be released from the matric because the real world is so fucked. Try telling that to the "free" ideological extremists who want to "free" us all so we can live on synthetic food underground on a dead cold world dominated by machines. But, we still root for them anyway. Human nature is fucked up.

@motile2 (1) How are they the bad guys? While you're keeping yourself distracted and entertained with lies and living a fallacy there are people who are trying to turn the desert of the real into something beautiful. There are many ways to interpret this film, but one would be to think of the real world as the spiritual plane and the matrix as the material plane. You could say that our spirit has become quite a mess due to mass neglect.

@Shogun2k7 You’re tainting this film with new age woowoo nonsense. If your idea of a spiritual plain is a dead cold wasteland dominated by “the machines” then you can have it. It is a fact (in this film) that the planet is utterly dead, no living thing exists upon it’s surface, even Zion has to be near the planets core were it is still warm.

The matrix is better and cleaner then the real world, with no alternative, freeing people means a death sentence, or is everyone meant to live in Zion? @motile2 You are explaining the film to me literally, so therefore I cannot really dispute anything you say. However, if we view the film metaphorically then we can have a proper discussion, but currently we are speaking on different levels.

@mosthighoracle I think motile2 has stockholm syndrome and has fallen in love with his oppressor/captor.
This debate was a while ago so my views on the film have changed/developed slightly. I still believe the spiritual aspects are relevant, but my perspective has shifted to a more 'realistic' or political standpoint.
I view the corporate/mainstream world as a big funfair and people have become caught up in it and neglected a large part of who they are.

@Shogun2k7 continued: all part of our potential and more. If we grew up in an environment where all of those things were normal we would all be able to do those things. Seeing auras too. I saw the buddist concept of maya straight away, like this reality is just like a dream. When they asked buddah what he was he said that he was awake. Then there is the fate/destiny concept that I believe, but how does that co-exist with free will, I wonder if It is all like a movie, we all think that we are 2Bc
