@moserneely Hellmuth punching anyone would result in Hellmuth getting his ass kicked by that same someone. What he should have done is show Tony how much more professional he can be (if that's even possible) by staying collected.
My favorite Phil quote is "I'm a bad loser, Tony, but you're a bad winner. I'm never a bad winner." LOL, that's right Phil, because the first step to being a bad winner is WINNING!
Ok, let's get something straight: poker is a game of deception. Joe Stapleton and Phil are beyond foolish to think that Tony's mind game with the AK was "bad etiquette". It was genius, and it worked flawlessly. Instead, of whining about getting outsmarted, Phil should bring up Tony's actions AFTER the hand, which were without question, out-of-line. I love G's style, but that part was certainly not cool. Once the guy is stacked, the mind games should end. But Phil SHOULD retire!
I liked the play so much by Hachem. He was sure LC had bigger pocket pair and was sure he will get him to fold. Sure a misread, but shit happens. Good story from LC, small chi-chat on the paid off.
This is unbelievable. Hellmuth actually said it's bad etiquette to lie at a poker table. Next time he'll say it's bad etiquette to take his money. It's absurd, he's ridiculous. I love how Tony G plays, call him retard or whatever but he owns Hellmuth completely.
Tony is a slob, if he would play this way in real games he would get his azz kicked every night. Obviously, he is a loser dirtbag and should be put out of his misery. I really like this show, but am soooo tired of Tony I don't know what 2 do. I don't get why they put that slob on here when there r so many other PROFESSIONALS that could b there. I know why Phil H is there. TonyG's a waste of airtime and just AIR wish he would hold his breath. Absolutely a jerk.
@SamFem At least Tony G gives action regardless of his constant abuse. Hellmuth is horrible, just horrible in these cash games. Some LC's definitely look more improved than Hellmuth.
Omg.. Hachem played that hand like an absolute idiot. What does ALL IN accomplish there? lol If cannon had a busted draw, he'd fold to even 1k bet. If he had a J, he's never folding for any amount. Geez
Phil Hellmuth acts like a stupid kid here.He has to pay attention at the table. It's not a kiddy game, its a game for real money,he can just act like"wow, you lie.i'm gonna go tell mommy".Whats next, asking someone to tell you what cards they have? And when he trows that chip back to tony g,that was very insulting.I taught tony might go crazy. And Joe Stappleton is so wrong with his comment too when he says Tony G is bad etiquette
i think this is setup.. 40k in the pot and hachem goes all in with a pair for 121k????????????????? even if u think u have the best hand ur not going all in there
@Aman12399 Sorry to say this, but i think Hellmuth's attitude isn't better. He used to pick on players for their play, but didnt take it that personal as he did with tony g now, when he insulted him with that chip.Just my opinion
@ciresaru94 How about the childhood comment? I think that was the worst. The chip thing was just childish bullshit like Phil always does, but digging into personal life is questionnable at best.
@420Kasper420 No,i don't think that was an usual Phil Hellmuth routine with that chip, that was really insulting,it is like saying Tony G doesn't deserve to play at that table.Tony G is just messing with him.I like'em bout,as a poker follower,i enjoy to see poker shows or poker tournaments with well known characters, but in this case,i gotta take Tony G's part
"of course I lied"... what a sleazy, dishonest move. Also funny and brilliant. I remember a video where Men Nguyen goes all-in without looking, brags about it and nobody believes him! (Freddy Deeb was on the table). Men insisted he did what he did, and was actually mad people didn't believe. It shows that you're perfectly free to distrust such claims. I mean, if Men Nguyen`s reputation is bad enough to think he's full of crap, imagine Tony G's...
It comes down to misleading/misrepresenting your hand in the most effective way possible. Phil is a top level player, so only the finest BS will work, and that is exactly what Tony had to pull out to induce the AJ call. Phil has ALWAYS been a sour loser. He's great- but we all know he can't take a loss, and this is jsut another example. This is big money- and every one of us lies about any/every element of our hand, if that's what it takes to induce a call.
Phil Hellmuth is great player.... He Won 11 Bracelets... Better than Doyle Brunson .... But play with fishes like Tony G isnt easy.... Its frustrated if player like him won pots with bad hands vs Hellmuth s big hands.... Bad luck in cash games... this is Hellmuth.... But Hellmuth is more better player than G....
The problem is people copy Tony G's behaviour in $2 blind casino games because they think it's so cool. I've seen players get in each other's faces with nasty, snide comments and very bad etiquette over $50 pots. It's pathetic. Tony G puts on a nice show and his fans love him, but it's a terrible way to play poker. One day Tony G is going to hassle the wrong guy. To him it's just a game. Someone else may think differently about it.
@Cluster00000 Then "someone else" is wrong and should learn to seperate their emotions from poker...or just quit entirely. But I certainly agree that Tony does push it too far sometimes. Recently he's been good, but in this episode he showed the kind of classlessness that reminds me of the Ralph Perry incident.
PEOPLE MAY SAY WHAT TONY G DID WAS SMART (CLEVER) I MAY EVEN AGREE BUT IF YOUR A BIG POKER PLAYER/ FAN THN YOU'LL SURELY AGREE ITS A GENTLEMANS GAME AND GOOD EDDICATE MATERS ITS JUST AS BAD AS SLOWROLLING AND THT IS HORRIBLE AGREE OR DISAGREE?
Sorry I was just joking Phil, did you believe me again :) I'm sorry Phil...... you should retire, get your coach and get a tandom bike and get the hell outa here....bike time....take your man and you boys start driving the bike like this LMAO classic stuff :)
This is great and made me laugh :) I doubt it very much that Tony G actually hates Hellmuth, it's a poker show and it's great for television and Tony G knows that. I like hellmuth and his blow-ups more but he has berated enough players himself so I wouldn't feel sorry for him. It's very hard to feel sorry for any of these players who play at these stakes with the money they have. Poker etiquette? blah! I'm watching this game not playing in it and it's very entertaining to watch :)
Its not a matter of hating Tony G or not its about playing it the right way. If you acted like Tony G in WPT or such he would be permanantly sent to the rail. Why should this be so different?
And it's not just against Helmuth - what about Robl when he ganged up with Daniel? Tony G is being a wanker pure and simple because he is winning - he wasnt so cocky when he was getting hammered earlier in the series - is there anyone in Helmuth's position who wouldnt have punched Tony G? I would.

@HardRockWhisker hellmuth is just a bad loose which is 10 times better then a bad winner that rubs salt in the wounds like tony G, not to mention that tony G crosses the line way further then phil hellmuth will ever do

everyone listen hellmuth is a tourney player thats all! he loses everytime! he deserves wut he gets from tony g! hellmuth claims hes the best no nevr hes washed up he sucks! fk hellmuth always has an excuse! get on ur bike bitch!
@Izaak247 If you don't see the problem you either never play poker or you just don't understand that lying about seeing your hand is very very filthy and isn't very much different then cheating
Maybe Joe put the cannon on QQ KK AA or maybe a J and he thought he wouldn't call without the nuts... its hard to put him on JJJJ or a set because he dont think he would raise preflop with 55,44 or 33. I honestly think the cannon would have folded AJ. And for the move Tony G made on phil, I agree its very wrong... but I think Phil was calling anyway.
@alextardouin you are honestly an idiot if you think a weak player (cannon) would fold out a hand holding a J. After raising preflop and calling that turn 12k bet (that following a speech I should note) it would be obvious to even an average amateur player that the cannon was holding a J and not worse than JT at that. Hachem is just as bad is it comes in the pro ranks. High class donk. He's ok as a person though..
@vladbcom The cannon reraised preflop so its impossible for him to have a J in his range. He wouldn't even have reraised AJ. So the possible hand in his range when he call on the turn are AA, KK, QQ, JJ. Theres 18 hands that folds and 1 that calls. So I think its a great bet. And this cannon was so weak tight that he might fold AJ. he maybe woulda raises AJ suited... but even then... no! too tight for that. But hey, youre the idiot to think the cannon could have a J in his range after a 3bet PF.

what a donation by joe hachem, what the fuck was he thinking... The tighest nittiest player, who re-raised preflop, calls 12000 right after with two players left JJ34 board. I guess he put him on aces or kings, but daniel knew right away look at him when he folded his cards @41:10. fuck pissing away 90K, honestly he deserved it i dont see how he could justify that all-in overbet on the river.
Tony G does have a point. This really does define Hellmuth as poker player- i mean getting a coach? justification from an opponent to put money in the middle? What kind of poker is he trying to play? Aside from his notion that tony g was talking too much opting him to fold..it's pretty obvious he was going to ship it anyways. I don't like Tony G as a person, but he's in the right on this one
I think that what Tony G did was a dick move. I get that it is not against the rules and it is part of poker to keep a close eye on your opponents. Often times you cant see all of the players cards because of their chipstacks. So you cant really see clearly if he lifted the cards or not. As much as I love getting Phil owned, but its just not satisfying this way.
Seen better LCs but I like the guy. That young Italian guy was way cool and took $160,000+ home. This LC might bust out. But the best fun here is The Tony G Show, Phil needs to be swept up of the floor shoved in a hefty sack once the G melts hi mind.
Why would you lie? Etiqute(spelled wrong) WTF!?!?!?! its POKER!!!!!!!!! Is is actually serious? Wow,the whole game is full of deceit,no its not a rule, what he did was fine! Your the sucker if you believe him,yes Tony is usually bad in Etiquite but this time he is 100% in the right IMO ,what do other people think?
@djsinya Yeah, high stakes you need every edge you can get and I can see where your coming from saying don't do it with friends but we play for very small stakes so if I got my friend to believe my lies they would probably laugh :)
@djsinya Yeah, high stakes you need every edge you can get and I can see where your coming from saying don't do it with friends but we play for very small stakes so if I got my friend to believe my lies they would probably laugh :)
@LynchsLaw the trashtalking is just below pathetic but thats just one thing, lying about you have looked at your hand or not is just almost cheating, its the worst thing you can do to somebody apart from cheating. I don't see how you can justify tony's behaviour here??
@tommyXBOX360 Yeah the trash talking is BS for sure, totally out of line but they are playing for a lot of money here.If everyone has to tell the truth there would be no talking.Did you watch the next episode where Daniel says"I have a straight" while heads up on the river with air vs Jen Tilly? That was a straight out lie that was outspoken,is Daniel scum?.No and nor Tony, that's poker,at this level if everyone told the truth then why talk in a hand whatsoever? That would be boring IMO
@LynchsLaw I don't understand you can't see the difference between telling a lie about your hand when you are playing a hand headsup, not at showdown and between lying about not seeing your hand while you did see it. Its such a big difference, now phil had to go allin for sure if tony didnht look but it would have been different if tony was a human being and just told the truth like any reasonably decent person would do.
how tony said he didnt look at his hand is genius! it made him alot of $ phil put his $ in bad thats why hes so upset.

But hey, youre the idiot to think the cannon could have a J in his range after a 3bet PF.

@vladbcom The cannon reraised preflop so its impossible for him to have a J in his range. He wouldn't even have reraised AJ. Man, as much as I do like see Hellmuth tilted and losing, Tony G really is an annoying sock cucker
Phil is right, bad losing isn't pretty, poor winners are worse

For Tony G this is part of the show...
It's a circus; they are gladiators, and he's giving us blood!
Good performance, Tony.

what a donation by joe hachem, what the fuck was he thinking...

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
QUAD JACKS - COULDN'T HAPPEN TO A BETTER, COCKY AUSSIE BIG MOUTH.
Wait - would have been better if it happened to Tony.

I honestly hope Phil beats the shit out of Tony. He is SO asking for it.
I'd help him if I could.

I don't like what Tony did, but it could not happen to any better person.

LynchsLaw 6 months ago
@LynchsLaw That's not the way you play with your friends, but on the tv show it acceptable..
djsinya 6 months ago
@djsinya Yeah, high stakes you need every edge you can get and I can see where your coming from saying don't do it with friends but we play for very small stakes so if I got my friend to believe my lies they would probably laugh :)

@LynchsLaw yep, keep the lie friendly then lol

@LynchsLaw the trashtalking is just below pathetic but thats just one thing, lying about you have looked at your hand or not is just almost cheating, its the worst thing you can do to somebody apart from cheating. I don't see how you can justify tony's behaviour here??
tommyXBOX360 6 months ago
@tommyXBOX360 Yeah the trash talking is BS for sure, totally out of line but they are playing for a lot of money here.If everyone has to tell the truth there would be no talking.Did you watch the next episode where Daniel says"I have a straight" while heads up on the river with air vs Jen Tilly? That was a straight out lie that was outspoken,is Daniel scum?.No and nor Tony, that's poker,at this level if everyone told the truth then why talk in a hand whatsoever? That would be boring IMO
LynchsLaw 6 months ago
@LynchsLaw I don't understand you can't see the difference between telling a lie about your hand when you are playing a hand headsup, not at showdown and between lying about not seeing your hand while you did see it. Its such a big difference, now phil had to go allin for sure if tony didnht look but it would have been different if tony was a human being and just told the truth like any reasonably decent person would do.
tommyXBOX360 6 months ago
@tommyXBOX360 Clearly we have different views on poker,no point arguing as it could go on forever so GG and GL
LynchsLaw 6 months ago
@LynchsLaw oke thx, but you must understand the difference between ordinary lying about your hand of lying if you have looked at your hand or not.

How does Hellmuth win 2 million in a few tournaments and always lose on these shows? I think he won money once.
