I bought SMB in the Christmas sale (along with TF2), and for the next two weeks I was basically on extended leave from responsibility. I would get up at 7 AM, get on the computer, start playing Super Meat Boy, and go to bed at midnight.

This song makes me remember that. Those were the days. :D

Exactly why this soundtrack is my favorite. It perfectly shows the evil, demented and twisted atmosphere that borderlines with Silent Hill on the entire hospital world(looking at the levels, opponents, all the huge lakes of blood...).

If you want more good VGM, listen to the Thunder Force series' music (or lots of other shmup series'), or old school Megaman, Sonic, Outrun, Shinobi, Castlevania, anything by Tecnosoft, a lot of Sega's old music, etc. As for movies, I dunno. lol I could tell you more, but I'm lazy. If you actually care to know, say so, though.
