@BaryMary Yes Alexi can't even play his own licks in his own instructional dvd, but that's because he is drunk all the time and he practices not at all. the younger Alexi laiho could play5 times better than now and could play excellent live. don't compare alexi with herman.Alexi is a genious and his music is the proof for it.

As Vai (probably) cannot play something like this, reversed is also true. I consider Vai better (if not best) guitar player, but that's my opionion. As musician... Vai can wipe floor with Rusty. This stuff lacks lot of taste, versatility, etc...

If i was jealous on a guitarist. it will Petrucci in the metal genre, scott henderson, pat or lane in the fusion genre. now thats som real guitarists right there. Rusty owns no feel, and his tone in the slow parts is terrible. His vibrato is so overdone. And btw, his fast runs lacks the same things. I can say im impressed by the fast fingers. But it just the fingers, no brain, no soul in it. He couldve just programmed the arpeggios on a synth really. Wait, then it will sound horrific wouldnt it?
