  • how do you make things like these ;o

  • @stokventje hehe...wow, this is such an old project. Kind of weird to see it now. I was just experimenting in my early years of using After Effects & motion tracking. You can check out videocopilot (dot) net and start from there. Its a good place to start learning about the software, I guess. good luck!

  • i rider polar bears to the school :D

  • @piratentim lol :P

  • U dont belive me?

  • i can't put my finger on it, but for some reason this makes me want to go to the club. Looks really good man.

  • thanx guys! :]

and for some reason, listening to your music, makes me wanna buy your new coming Album! :D

  • AWESOME

  • u see? if u released the FumeFX tutorial earlier, maybe i would add it into the light streaks! :P

  • Wow, such a great idea! Well filmed, too; great quality. What hooked me was the depth of field in the first shot.

I'd totally try to get invited to this party if I saw this commercial.

  • hehe...yeah Bubbowarp. that was the idea also :] to get people excited bout the party [..and just an excercise for me in motion graphics :] glad u liked it!

    בהצלחה!

  • Do people in Israel wear western clothes?!?!?!?

  • haha, its a miracle! hallelujah, praise the lord! :D

anyways, yes. and we also dont ride magic carpets to school, as some might think :P

thanx for dropping by, my friend! :]

  • ha ha, i was only messing, I have an aunt from Israel, she moved to America and married my uncle from Ireland. I loved you video by the way, it was beautiful and original.

  • greeeeeat video !!! loved the concept... :)

scene cuts and music matching with them were perfectly adjusted too... (that's the freaky kinda stuff I like to notice and highlight in this sorta videos) lol

    ¡FELICITACIONES! ^^

  • haha..cheers, my friend! :P

    its light-a-licious :]

  • nice video! I'm giving you a shout out to you, and other 6 youtubers

  • hey,buddy! thanx alot! :]

    p.s-whats a shoutout, btw? rofl :P

  • well you saw my video. lol

  • Great quick cut editing, and choice of music. I dig the motion tracking too. Only criticism would be smoothing the entrance of the "london 2009" text. Otherwise, a polished piece of work.

  • Thank you So much!! :] this means alot, coming from u, buddy! yeah..im aware of the text fluke.. lolz :$

  • Im wanting to do something similar to this, where a person is writing midair - but Im not so much worried about following his gestures, as the shot being hand held. How were you able to adapt to the subtle camera movements so well?

  • hey, dude :] u need to motion track the footage, and then apply the light streaks to it accordingly. there is a certain method that could help you to execute this by stabilizing the footage.go and watch it on the "demon face" tutorial by andrew kramer. good luck! :D

  • this is really awesome work, i've just started to play with this effect a little but it is by far not as good as yours. i don't get how you get the streak behind people or things in after effects. also i love the scene from 1:06 on, can you tell me how these two things are done, that'd be awésome. anyways, great work!

  • hey buddy! :] no porblem :] i got the streak "behind" people by duplicating the video layer, putting it on top, and then masking out the person. All the light streaks was tracked and Matched to the footage, But that scene in 1:06. i just played with the physics of the particles, so it would fly into the screen! :D hope this helps, dude! :P

  • elad, thx for the infos, that helped me a lot. as i am playing with this effect i have one more question i couldn't figure out myself. your streaks are constantly moving and look a bit like a wave in a couple of shots. i don't get how this is done. is this with the wiggle effect? i played with it as well as with the turbulance field but once my streak is "drawn" it stays at the same position and doesn't keep moving. it would be awesome if you could help me once more. thx a lot, jack

  • hey jack! :]

sure ill help! no problem! :]

yeah, i know exactely what youre talkin bout! and this effect is INDEED obtained by using the Physics>Air>Turbulance Field>and then u just mess around with the first 2 parameters. thats what ive done! u could take a look at Andrew Kramer's light streak2 tutorial, towards the end! lemmie know how this works for ya! and update me when its done! :]

  • Great stuff Elad! I love the color treatment, editing, camera work, and especially the motion-tracked light trails. Great piece. :)

  • hey Leah! thanx for the constructive criticism :] u know i like some nerdy critique :D i cherish it! :]

  • Very nice! That light effect is awesome. Reminds me of the Coldplay video, 'Lovers in Japan'

  • hehe..thanx! yeah! youre right! :D

    great band! great song! :]

  • dude.. ur awesome! great job!

  • WOW MAN!!!

    good job, and good finish...

I've seen your other works, and as the time goes by - I'm more and more impressed by them.

    keep going... :)

  • thanx alot,buddy! :]

your work is getting better by the minute, also! its all bout getting better and pushing the envelope further :]

    cheers!! :D

  • Your level just jumped a few steps up.

Yes, most of the good-old motives are still there. The old film effects, the video breaks (Sorry for not remembering the official terms) but... There is a certain atmosphere in this video. A combination of music with the color and texture of the shoots.

At what time did you shoot outside?

I feel that things are starting to fall into place.

Lastly... as you didn't commented on it before, I'll write it again.

    Didn' know you're into Parkour.

  • thanx alot! :]

yeah.i should definitly experiment with some other styles of editing.i just need the right muse. We actually shot it in the morning! ive applied a day-to-night effect,to make it seem like this [+to make the light streaks stand out a little more :] it turned out o.k, i guess. oh,and,yeah!hehe..i didnt mean to jump all the time-"Parkour style" :] but i felt like i needed to create a more interesting motion,so the lights will look nicer!

[the term u meant is called jump-cut, btw :]
