  • macs cant get viruses cuz there is no viruses out for mac maybe some day they will have one buts as of now there none and if there wuz there be a update 2 fix it

  • @MrPchacker1 LOL. JUST LOL.

  • I think the real reason why you so call Pc lovers are always complaining is because...#1 you can't afford a Mac or #2 you just been using Pc's for so long, you are to afraid to switch because of what your friends might say about you. so my thing is, if you don't like something, why use it's applications like iTunes or Quicktime. so keep in mind, if you don't to much care for Windows media player. you don't like Pc's your self.

  • @BIGBPRODUCTIONS100 Derp. This made me lol like i've never lol'd before.

So, let me get this straight: If a Windows user uses Apple's slow-ass program on their PC, they hate Windows? SO, in order to <3 Windows, I have to use Microsoft's shitty offering. What about Open-source, third party media viewers like VLC? OHOH and we complain because we can't afford a Mac? Wow. If I wanted to pay an absurd sum of money for outdated hardware, I totally would and could! Go back under your bridge, troll.

  • @BIGBPRODUCTIONS100 the only reason people use itunes is cuz most of them have ipodz and 4 the quick time it comes with itune an u have to have it with itunes

  • @MrPchacker1 You no you are absolutely right but i see a lot of people miss understood me so let me be more specific i don't have anything against PC users i had a PC my self windows vista but when i did own my laptop i never trashed talk about apple or there products so my thing is if a person hate something so much why use it like a phone why use and iPhone when you can use a HTC or Blackberry that's like with me i have a cadillac but i don't hate on BMW or AUDI cars witch i love.

  • @MrPchacker1 So there's ways around every thing if you don't like something like Quick time player or iTunes that's like a person saying i hate typing and sending emails and i can't stand computers but turn around and send a text on a cell phone just because it has that feature.

  • @BIGBPRODUCTIONS100 lol i i have a pc because it has the features i want :D. i need 3rd party apps which mac os dont offer. i also need high end video cards games and 3d video making. however i do use itunes...only cause of the fact i got traped in apples protected mpeg-4 files which dont work with wmc. dude macs are just shinny and have a few apps that apple made to make it look good. and all the "Stable macs" have 1066 memory which most pc oems dont have. but i installed myself. i love my pc.

  • @skaterguy1423 I'm not mad at you.

  • @GadgetCrew @_@ DERP! I feel like an idiot now :P

  • making viruses should be illegal.

  • @Bioniclemaster1998 it is lol.

  • ThePirateBay that's the website where you get free shit.

  • i though you cant install shit without your master password !!

  • well.. if your an idiot.. you'll install the "video player" or whatever...

  • Yea a pc virus is detected

  • how long does this last

  • Virus Errected?

  • 12 variants with new one found every week..does this mean viruses only existed 12 weeks ago?

  • interesting how all the videos of mac viruses are made by anti-virus companies.

  • is this "antiVirus" a virus I've never heard of it. . . . .

  • Now...

My friend convinced me the other day to get a mac...

And he said that there were no viruses.........

  • @2000pcman trojans and viruses aren't the same, but macs can still get viruses. it's just the chances of you getting one are low.

  • is it free or is it a virus?

  • 1:11 "Virus Erected" :D My macs gonna come with this >:3 i hope its good too block all viruses xD

  • Ma chi è lo stupido che va a scaricare lady gaga??? xD

  • $70. how long is the license for? 1,2,3 years?

  • the new VirusBarrier X6 program includes an antimalware, a firewall and an antiphishing. It protects 2 Macs for $49.95

  • STOP BLOODY SCARE MONGERING! "Theres new varients of the RSPlug virus detected every week" what a load of rubbish, yes maybe 3-4 months but every wekk is a bit OTT

  • what you're saying sir is not correct, the release history of each variants shows you that it's "at least" once a week, sometimes twice a week... 20090505 OSX/RSPlug.I 20090520 OSX/RSPlug.J 20090622 OSX/RSPlug.K 20090625 OSX/RSPlug.L 20090629 OSX/RSPlug.M 20090721 OSX/RSPlug.N 20090817 OSX/RSPlug.O 20090819 OSX/RSPlug.P 20090824 OSX/RSPlug.Q (all with 3 differents sha1 .dmg files)
  • @iMacwizzo I agree that it sounds a bit much for the variant to be there every week, and this vid sounds like a scam to me to get users to download more crap, however it does raise a point that Mac's aren't invincible like fanboys prefer to troll the web with. (same can be said for all Oses too, not just Mac)

  • I don't have Intego however I did go to a website saying my Codecs were out of date. I knew it was a lie, I worked at a PC shop and theres alot of stuff like that around. Rouge Anti Virus (AntiVirus XP 2009) fake Codecs ext. I didn't get infected but I know now that if I do get a mac anti virus I would use Intego it looks very nice.

  • Can someone Give me the link to this? Please, I need concrete evidence to believe. This is more of an ad to me than concrete evidence. Please GIMME THE LINK!!

  • Urgent - I got the video one where it downloaded the plugin, and it put a DMG on my desktop, but I didn't open it, i deleted it right away. Am I infected? Or do you need to open the dmg and run the installer to get it???

  • If you didn't install the DMG with the MacCinema installer & type your admin passw during the installation, you won't be infected.

If you have VirusBarrier, it will detect the trojan before you install it , and repair the infected files after, if you have already installed it without having an antivirus on your mac

  • Wow, a new trojan for Mac's EVERY WEEK?!

  • We find a new variant of this Trojan horse almost every week.

  • Are there any MAC viruses? Or just trojans?

  • There are 2 viruses that affect Mac OS X: the OSX.MachArena.A, and OSX/Oomp-A or Leap.A, which combines the techniques of Trojan horses, viruses and worm. While both of these are found in the wild, neither are widespread. The word "virus" is used - usually incorrectly - by the general public, and even the press, when talking about malware, such as the recent Conficker worm that affects Windows computers. Malware is a class; a virus is a specific type of malware.

  • Do the viruses install by them self or do they have to have your permission like the trojans?

  • for example, OSX/Leap.A or Oompa-Loompa computer virus is an application-infecting, LAN-spreading worm for Mac OS X discovered in February 2006.

Leap cannot spread over the Internet, and can only spread over a local area network reachable using the Bonjour protocol. On most networks this limits it to a single IP subnet. The OSX/Leap.A worm is delivered over the iChat instant messaging program as a gzip-compressed tar file called latestpics.tgz.

  • Thanks! So won't more malware writers start targeting Mac owners when the Mac market share raises?

  • yes indeed..
