You'd be hard-pressed to find a commuter train anywhere in the U.S. with a top speed over 100 miles an hour, most top out around 50 (though some go as fast as 75). Both trains in yesterday's crash were going around 40 mph.

PWB, I am glad you could get so technical about U.S. train speeds, but there is life outside the U.S. you know, and trains do 200MPH. Besides, two trains each going 100MPH would be uh, 200MPH collision, but no, this was yet another coverup by NTSB to quickly rule out Terror. Just like Minnistota Bridge Collapse the NTSB declaired that night No Terror Attack, Before the NTSB Even Got to scene. And just what happened to the video seconds Before bridge collapse. I live one mile from where the train crashed and I can assure you, with one train coming out of a tunnel and the other leaving a station APPROACHING the tunnel, they were not going anywhere near 200mph.
