If it's on the disc or part of the planned game it should BE on the disc included, simple as that. Fuck that Homefront BS, and fuck 'day one DLC'.
Pre-order exclusives are only acceptable in my eye when they follow these rules:
- The item included is cosmetic only if multiplayer (weapon skins, hats, outfits etc), anything that doesn't give others advantages in the competitive scene.
- Getting a piece of future dlc free, such as maps or extra single player content.
Hardware and specification-wise, the PS3 could conceivably last as long as they initially planned it to. The problem is the software, and the recent cracking incident (and the veritable shitstorm that followed) really just screwed it all up - ruined the performance and the overall experience.
Hopefully Sony (as well as Microsoft) really takes it as a lesson-learned and they combine software AND hardware devices that prevent haxx0rz.
I would be a PC gamer if it wasn't so expensive to have one that will actually PLAY the games I play on XBox. I also have really good friends on XBox who are like me and can't afford a good enough PC to play the games we play on XBox.

Second thing Bill Gates Buys everything that will promote there products such as DLC on COD and the reason for that is X-box Breaks to dam easy...I still own one of the first PS3's X-box is good a paper weight..I buy a system For quality and expect it to last more than 6 months...

@MrPanda154 i have a ps3 and skyrim's frames dropped dramatically if i played it for too long. as far as bugs, i had a few broken quests and crazy corkscrew flying dragons, but that wasn't ps3's fault. i'm not hating on the ps3 either. i love its exclusives.
just to point of that with BF3 your can download the physical warfare pack (the pre-order SKS and DAO12 stuff) can (now) be downloaded free from the in game store. I don't think they should add anything to the pre-order benefits that can't be attained later. If it doesn't cost anything extra to pre-order then it shouldn't be sold to people after the fact.
Agreed on the whole Xbox 720 thing. I mentioned all of this a while ago when it came to BF3 and people ridiculed me, lol. Now, just a few months later, everyone's waking up and realizing hey, holy shit, consoles are basically 6+ year old PCs that can never even be upgraded. If I had a strong PC, I'd be all over BF3, I've said it a thousand times. I WANT to enjoy the game on Xbox 360, but it's so annoying to think of how much you're missing out on with the console version.

it wouldn't be "xbox720" because the point of "360" was because it was a "revolution" in gaming. They wouldn't call it 720, it just wouldn't make sense. Also the late release won't hurt the new PS. PS3 took a whole years longer than the xbox360 to come out and so far they're doing fine in the "console wars"

Sony never seems to learn from other companies mistakes. Sony has never recovered from the release to this day.

Also, the M26 MASS is, in my opinion, completely impractical compared to the M320 or the Medkit. I understand that it's geared toward the 'lone wolf' type of players, but that's not what BF3 is about.
@MrThreadSpool About that M26 MASS thing... have you used that thing, cuz in my opinion that has to be one of the best equipment's for that class. if your not a noobtuber of course, and if you have the exception of not being able to heal your self. but yeah it like having a Side shotgun on you at all times which is good for tight spaces and when you don't want to waste your primary ammo

I think the pre ordering gimmick needs to stop. its rediculous. i mean alot of the preorder stuff just ends up being the DLC later and half of them are dumb. and in my opinion(its kinda off topic) I think they should bring back cheat codes. and no i dont mean Easter eggs. like actual botton codes or a cheat menu for offline mode games like Skyrim or What have you. some may disagree but wouldnt it be like awesome to go low gravity mode on Skyrim without the moding.
pc updates every year, consoles only get renewed or updated every 2 to 5 years, thats the reasons consoles don't have everything the pc has, plus a pc cost nearly twice as more as a console and u have to constantly update it or buy a new one eve so often just to stay up to date with the current technology...and the c crashes way to often to be recognizable as a gaming product

I actually dont think the grenade in black ops is "pound for pound" better than the tomahawk,it took me a while to get good with it,and when I did,the grenades had shit on it. You can retrieve it out of surfaces or bodys,its unlimited essentially. The tomahawk in good hands is deadlier than anything else in that slot.
I thought that the throwing knives were really good. If you're using a weapon unsuitable for long ranges like a SMG, and if you're good with the throwing knives, you can beat out snipers and riflemen.

The flash suppressor generally sucks, but it does have a niche in sniping from inside a dark room. Don't get the increased bullet drop from the sub-sonic ammo you use with the suppressor, and you don't light up the room like the 4th of July every time you shoot basically screaming "here I am!" Also decent for night maps like Tehran Highway.
It is generally useless though, it's benefit is way too situational and you'll effectively get nothing from it but the increased recoil.

If you bought RAGE Anarchy edition you got a double barrel shotgun BUT only for multiplayer and that was the only way to get it, and the double barrel helped me alot through the campaign

You guys are misinformed about preordering. Preordering at gamestop doesn't cost more money. It's a deposit on your game. The incentives are to get you to make a commitment to the game.

The Wii sold a lot and is still popular because of the casual gamer. Us at Respawn laugh at the wii because of its lack of good games, and graphic capabilities but it still lives. The casual gamer out numbers hardcore gamers, nintendo always will get massive sales because of the casual gamer. The WiiU will sell like the wii did.

Actually the real reason some games seem worse on the ps3 is becaus the ps3 is very hard to code on. Most dual platform games are coded for xbox first than ported to the ps3. Look at ps3 only games ex. Uncharted series, Killzone, Ratcet and clank, god of war, little big planet. All have very good graphics and almost no lag or other problems. I also wanted to say that ps3 is doing great. In fact they have outsold the xbox 360 soooo idk why you guys think they are doing bad

I don't understand how people figure that they have to pay more money to preorder a game. I know that they feel if they don't preorder they lose content but then just preorder because it's the same price as buying the game afterwards and you get the extra content.
Actually... Console gamers are not people who have no clue about technology, or don't care about the graphics... I have a computer that runs Crysis 2 perfectly with highest settings. But, I prefer to play it on the Xbox 360. Why? Got a big couch to sit on, a big TV and a big hifi-system, 5.1. It's just more relaxing, playing like this, I almost never play on my computer anymore :-/

@TriCk2o9 How so? Consoles aren't HD, PC is. Controllers were made for PC before console. You can't mod games on console. Well, you can but they're all really shitty and downgrade the game. If I wanted to simulate using a console I would just play on my XBOX 360 or PS3.
@finalfate62 of course consoles are HD. you justt need an HDTV and an HDMI cable. and im pretty sure Atari had a controller and that came out wayyyy before any PC games did(because saying controllers were made for PC is bogus). @BeardedVillain Yes, I've done that... But there is a little delay... And the game feels a bit sluggish, I don't know why... When I play BF on the PC with a controller, it feels different as I play it on the Xbox. Hard to explain what I mean, if you got the possibility to try it out, you'll know what I mean :)... ;)
@DavidRappl are you using the xbox 360 wired controller? I use a controller for racing games and don't have any delay... You might need to install drivers or calibrate it somehow... However I probably wouldn't recommend using a controller on multiplayer games since you will get stomped on without a mouse+keyboard
@BeardedVillain No, wireless... Hmm, I'm actually pretty good with the controller, I once played Black Ops with the controller online, and I wasn't (that) bad ;) But with the Xbox, it feels more direct, don't know how to explain it... You have to try out a fps with a controller on the pc... :)
Racing games work pretty good with the controller on the pc, that's right, no problem :) But my favorite racing game is Forza Motorsport, and this game is just available for the Xbox 360 -.-

And that is the only reason I actually have a console is for the exclusives. Gears of war, Forza, Uncharted all are amazing games that PC doesn't get... @TheMaximan97 The console uses the tv as a monitor.... If you wanted to you could have your pc right next to your living room screen and just plug it in and maybe use a xbox controller and act as if you where playing the xbox... It probably won't be as loud as a xbox depending on your specs...

I think the pre ordering gimmick needs to stop. its rediculous. i mean alot of the preorder stuff just ends up being the DLC later and half of them are dumb. and in my opinion(its kinda off topic) I think they should bring back cheat codes. and no i dont mean Easter eggs. like actual botton codes or a cheat menu for offline mode games like Skyrim or What have you. some may disagree but wouldnt it be like awesome to go low gravity mode on Skyrim without the moding.

pc updates every year, consoles only get renewed or updated every 2 to 5 years, thats the reasons consoles don't have everything the pc has, plus a pc cost nearly twice as more as a console and u have to constantly update it or buy a new one eve so often just to stay up to date with the current technology...and the c crashes way to often to be recognizable as a gaming product

I actually dont think the grenade in black ops is "pound for pound" better than the tomahawk,it took me a while to get good with it,and when I did,the grenades had shit on it. You can retrieve it out of surfaces or bodys,its unlimited essentially. The tomahawk in good hands is deadlier than anything else in that slot.

I thought that the throwing knives were really good. If you're using a weapon unsuitable for long ranges like a SMG, and if you're good with the throwing knives, you can beat out snipers and riflemen.

The flash suppressor generally sucks, but it does have a niche in sniping from inside a dark room. Don't get the increased bullet drop from the sub-sonic ammo you use with the suppressor, and you don't light up the room like the 4th of July every time you shoot basically screaming "here I am!" Also decent for night maps like Tehran Highway.
It is generally useless though, it's benefit is way too situational and you'll effectively get nothing from it but the increased recoil.

Actually the real reason some games seem worse on the ps3 is becaus the ps3 is very hard to code on. Most dual platform games are coded for xbox first than ported to the ps3. Look at ps3 only games ex. Uncharted series, Killzone, Ratcet and clank, god of war, little big planet. All have very good graphics and almost no lag or other problems. I also wanted to say that ps3 is doing great. In fact they have outsold the xbox 360 soooo idk why you guys think they are doing bad

@lsufan34157 really? i read it was xbox: 64 mil and PS3 60 mil. regardless of the one year head start, that was the point, thats why it was released earlier cause they knew they would get the jump in sales. and it wouldnt surprise me if they released a new xbox this year at all. infact i think they need to otherwise its gonna be a terrible year for xbox. as for the PS3 the hardware in it can last another year or so, so i can understand why they arnt announcing anything at E3.

Actually... Console gamers are not people who have no clue about technology, or don't care about the graphics... I have a computer that runs Crysis 2 perfectly with highest settings. But, I prefer to play it on the Xbox 360. Why? Got a big couch to sit on, a big TV and a big hifi-system, 5.1. It's just more relaxing, playing like this, I almost never play on my computer anymore :-/

@TriCk2o9 How so? Consoles aren't HD, PC is. Controllers were made for PC before console. You can't mod games on console. Well, you can but they're all really shitty and downgrade the game. If I wanted to simulate using a console I would just play on my XBOX 360 or PS3.

When I play BF on the PC with a controller, it feels different as I play it on the Xbox. Hard to explain what I mean, if you got the possibility to try it out, you'll know what I mean :)... ;)

@DavidRappl are you using the xbox 360 wired controller? I use a controller for racing games and don't have any delay... You might need to install drivers or calibrate it somehow... However I probably wouldn't recommend using a controller on multiplayer games since you will get stomped on without a mouse+keyboard

@BeardedVillain No, wireless... Hmm, I'm actually pretty good with the controller, I once played Black Ops with the controller online, and I wasn't (that) bad ;) But with the Xbox, it feels more direct, don't know how to explain it... You have to try out a fps with a controller on the pc... :)
Racing games work pretty good with the controller on the pc, that's right, no problem :) But my favorite racing game is Forza Motorsport, and this game is just available for the Xbox 360 -.-

@DavidRappl Yeah but if you are playing with someone that is skilled with a mouse it will be extremely hard to beat him in gun battles. And that is the only reason I actually have a console is for the exclusives. Gears of war, Forza, Uncharted all are amazing games that PC doesn't get... So I get the best of both worlds having a xbox and a pc.

Unless you're computer was made in 1994 in which case it probably still will. I never once mentioned that a bad PC wont be able to play with a controller... Though if you have a bad pc you're better off just using the xbox 360/ps3...
