@CPWindsorsub Legally you are supposed to come to a complete stop. So they are actually breaking the law when they do that. If they did come to a complete stop before turning then there would not be an issue.

@Chaoitcme Yes, when you make a right turn on a red you have to treat it like a stop sign unless theres a sign saying no right turn on red(I wrote the first comment 2 months ago so I now know all of these things lol).

@johnforell Wrong there officer, Or state official, Which ever you are. I let my wife drive my car and I also let me friends drive my car when they are in bad need of one. This has NO PROBABLE CAUSE. It can not be proven. If I got a ticket I would plead not guilty which is what everobe with half intelligence should do. Represent yourself and in the end the STATE CANNOT PROVE SHIT! A red light means you make a COMPLETE STOP. Look both ways. And if no one is coming, then you may continue.

The people in this video are shown NOT STOPPING at the red light, and "running through it" - so even though you are allowed to take a right turn on red, you still must make a complete stop first.

Perpindicular traffic from the right is making a left hand turn ... there really is no need to stop. There should be a green right arrow for these cars.

@Screwschom But the cross traffic coming from the left has the green, a green left doesn't make sense when all that is required to make complete stop, and proceed when there is a safe break on the cross traffic.

Most people assume that right turn on red is a yield when in fact it is supposed to be a complete stop.

@roughrider119 no... in the DMV handbook, it clearly states that a right turn on red is legal unless otherwise posted, though you must yield to side traffic as they have the prominent right of way.
