  • @Darrenov.... Come on, He is one of the best cyclists in the world at sprinting, and because he's a sprinter, he doesn't try and get a good ranking in GC. You can't critisise him for that.

  • 00.46 'meanwhile back at the team pram'!

  • Does need a train, just uses the other teams....it's not called great Britain for nothing..

  • Great seeing Cav looking back mockingly at everybody else on his way to the line in Bordeaux. And as for the Champs Elysees sprint, that's just ridiculous. Both followed the expulsion of Renshaw from the Tour. And yet there are still plenty of idiots out there who try to convince themselves that Cavendish is useless without a full lead out. Nobody can deny that his lead out train at HTC was an absolute machine, but there is plenty of evidence that Cav is a class act with or without a lead out.

  • 6.30 is the best shot.

  • Cavendish is sick at finishing, but gotta give some credit to his teammates who set him up every time. First class!

  • I know I put myself high on a cloud. But all I want to do is win in the biggest bike race.

That's Cav. And why we love him so much

  • s.v.p aider moi avec un site qui donne des conseille et des astuce de cyclisme

  • I know you were being sarcastic. Cav is currently the greatest sprinter in the world but as long as he fails to finish or finish almost last in the three Grand Tours he is miles away from the top prizes.

  • @Darrenov - He's the best in the bloody world! Rainbow colours look very very good on our Cav!

  • 6:35 I keep coming back and hitting 6:35. Then I go away with a big grin on my face.

  • This is my favourite video in the world

  • Cav just goes on winning. You know, if you care about cycling, no british cyclist has ever come close to what Mark has achieved.

  • @TheMimifur Cav is a clever cyclist. He realizes he can't compete with the big boys for the top prizes like Bradley Wiggins or Robert Millar so he aims for events where he can use his sprinting ability. Other British riders should take a leaf from his book, be more selective.

  • @Darrenov I was unaware that World Champion and the green jersey were minor achievements.

  • @ArcaneGear They are great achievements, major for a British rider.

  • @Darrenov I was being sarcastic, you seem to think (correct me if im wrong) that they are not top prizes? you also seem to think that riders from other nations are more capable and win more often, but nowhere else in cycling is such dominance seen as the sprinting ability of Cavendish.

  • @TheMimifur He is the most successful British rider.

  • This is an amazing video ;) make a 2011 one as well?

  • INCREDIBLE video! love how you pointed him out of the group too, not that you really needed to in the end but amazing work ~ keep it up! Please!

  • comparing mark cavendish to robert millar is like comparing usain bolt to mo farah! their body compositions, diets and especially training schedules were completely different, and these differences allow them to compete for their seperate competitions. its true that millar would leave cavendish for dead in the mountains, but its also true that cavendish would do the same to millar in a sprint. you can't compare their successes, because they are effectively doing two completely different races.

  • @gobebo123 Millar would win in the mountains and Cav would win the sprints but Millar would leave Cav standing in a head to head road race over 90 miles on any kind of terrain, never mind mountains or sprints.

  • nice cav xxx

  • Mark Cavendish and HTC versus Freddy Maertens and Flandria, now thats a sprint I would love to see!

  • great vid, its awesome, perfect music and interview/action balance...THUMBS UP FOR A 2011 VIDEO!

  • Cav 2011 is even a better story - put it together and do a film for us.

  • Sorry people.. Cavendish is not the fastest man on a bike. He's the fastest man after a 150-200km road race with a lead out train.. Fastest cyclist are on the track. Put Cav on a Keiren or match sprint and he will get smoked. Yes he was a tracky before but he did endurance events (points race, madison, team pursuit, and scratch race). Don't get me wrong though I'm a huge Cavendish fan as well as the all star sprinters Cipollini, Zabel, and the great Sean Kelly.

  • Please do a montage of Cav's 2011 wins.

  • If you can cry in front of a camera ur a real man!

  • bout time the best sprinter in the world got the green jersey that should have been for the past couple years

  • GUYS watch out it's mark c...*finishes*

  • yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Green Jersey yeaaahhhhhhhhh

  • fast as fuck, like cav now that hes not a arrogant knob.

  • Cav is more likeable now he is not a big head. Fair play to him he should get more respect than Chris Hoy. Although he will never be as good as Robert Millar - Britains best. Robert should have an OBE at least, its a disgrace. You can't claim true greatness when you finish the tour in about position 149.

  • @Darrenov Amply demonstrating how little you know about cycling. Oh well, good to read David Millar (not related, of course) this week predicting Cavendish will become the "greatest ever".

  • @LondonCycling He won't become Britains greatest ever when finishing towards the bottom in overall standings. He is one hell of a sprinter though. He will always be second to Robert Millar as long as he can't ride uphill. Bradley Wiggins has the potetntial to become Britains greatest.

  • @Darrenov actullay I don't think that Mark gives a shit about which position he ends the tour de france in.

As he says himself in this video "all I wanna do is race, all I wanna do is win" so winning 20 stages and the green jersey at an age of only 25 is quite good. I think he has achived greatness.

  • @Darrenov You realise that's like saying that Usain Bolt isn't a legend as he's not a good marathon runner?

  • @joelymoly123 Bolt doesn't run marathon. Cav doesn't really take part in the Tour de France as a race. He sits in the peloton and hopes it stays together till the end when his team can lead him out. If any of this does not happen he's often nowhere. He is an awesome sprinter and to win that Green jersey against the worlds best is top class but all those riders who finish near the top in the overall standings are better cyclists.

  • @Darrenov You seem to have missed the point by a mile. I know Bolt doesn't run the marathon, that was part of the anaolgy even if it is a cliche. I also understand that Cavendish is a sprinter, hence why he competes for the green jersey. Your definition of a good cyclist seems to be someone who could win the tour, if that was the case then the green jersey wouldn't exist. Millar was a very good cyclist but hasn't dominated to the same extent that Cav has, that's why Cav's Britain's best.

  • @joelymoly123 My definition of a good cyclist is not just someone who could win the tour, the Green jersey is an incredible achievement. Head to head Cav would not keep up with Robert Millar because he can't go up hills and rarely wins a stage without his team. He has more stage wins than Robert Millar because he doesn't ride to win the Tour de France, he competes at a lower level. Robert Millar rode with the big boys, Cav isn't capable of that. Maybe he will improve his overall standing.

  • @Darrenov But the green jersey isn't a novice competition, it's for people who wouldn't even consider their overall standing, it's still cycling and Cavendish is beating his competition like no other British cyclist ever has before

  • @joelymoly123 Mark Cavendish is not a top elite rider like Robert Millar was. Fair play to him he knows he can't compete at this level and goes for what he can get. I bet Robert Millar would swap his achievements with Mark Cavendishs. Saying that Robert Millar was a far better cyclist who competed at the very pinnacle of world cycling.

  • @Darrenov A very poorly informed comparison between a GC rider and a sprinter.

  • @gideonian68 Instead of whining, make some points.

  • now i know why the htc phones are fast :p

  • great clip! are you going to make one for this year? would be great!

  • @Fagbamila93 My brother said the same thing...and i think we'll have to do one if Lizz doesn't! Come on Lizz! ;)

  • Talk all the smack you want, Mark Cavendish is one of the best sprinters of all-time. He let's his legs do the talking!

  • Ha, Champs Elysees is amzing, the camera man thinks, "yeah I've got the leaders here", and Cav just flies through in the background!

  • BEST SPRINTER EVER

  • lol @ Mark Renshaw. :))

  • Fastest sprinter alive.

  • such an emotional guy, such a fantastic sprinter. i love him

  • There is so much negative stuff about Cav this year. What rubbish. I am getting really cross.

  • best sprinter of all time

  • He is so fast!

  • Great video. Made me like Mark more!

  • On the Champs Elysees it's like he's in a different race! Just breezes through, absolute unbeatable class. The butting from Renshaw was so blatent though in the 3rd win - bizarre!

  • you know :(

  • 6:35 WHO THE HELL LAUNCHED THE MISSIL LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

  • @twinafhell that is one of the most brilliant moments in cycling ever captured on video, imo. It is simply awesome.

  • I very very like this video.. it was amazing ! :D

  • Oh Yeah.... the fastest man on wheels ... he will be stronger the more mature he gets ... .... its a head game ( Lance was a master at that ) ... thats where they will try to beat you Mark ... stand guard on the door of your mind and power on brother :-)

  • love this ,can`t wait tour de france go cav

  • i have that kit :)

  • Mark - all I ever want to do is win in the biggest bike race. All I ever want is to watch Cav win. All the time.

  • Ive met the Cav. And he put his thumb up to me during the final TT

  • check dem moves

  • nice video

  • whats the title of these song.....?

  • @2:28 "Oh my god....pull it together man" that's what the interviewer is thinking!

  • Just under 3 weeks to go folks!!!

  • Renshaw is awesome!

  • Amazing work lizzrose.. loved the songs and the compilation! Awed by the progression of Mark Cavendish through the video... INSPIRING!!

  • mark cavendish is the fastest person in the world go mark!!!!!!!!!!

  • Is it just me or does 39km/h at the sprint finish at the tour seem way too slow

  • @adamb701 they go around 60 i think in the sprint.. 39 km/h is just the average of the stage :D

  • What is this first song?

  • i love the final sprint. Hushovd and Petacchi actually think they have it won. Then bang!!! Cavendish just flies past on the opposite side of the road. Makes it look so easy! I have major respect for this man!

  • Comment removed

  • what was the second track? You're not alone? Please

  • @mickeysloan You're not alone by Mads Langer.

  • that clip of stage 20 moving along side them is INCREDIBLE !!!!! i love it ! just seeing them all sprinting flat out and the cav just burning past , amazing video mate, thanx

  • WHAT A GAY...

  • I love this video! seeing Cav break down just shows people who think cycling is just for men who want to wear lycra and look gay that it not all fun and games, it's a proper sport, best man wins. unlike soccer/football!

    VIVA LA CAVENDISH!!!!!!!!!

  • the editing is good, but this video could have been so much better. during the first crash, you should have had an arrow pointing to cavendish to clarify that he was involved. the interview after his first win was a little awkward, and you should have at least cut out the split second where the interviewer was like "oh my." and you should have included somehow that renshaw was disqualified. the first minute was absolutely captivating but it lost it. still excellent video

  • Hehe Renshaw u got to use ur head and he did :)

  • Voir-vous dans Cav de Paris, la victoire, la victoire, la victoire!

  • That lead out in stage 6 really set him up for the amazing sprint home. Don't get me wrong cav is probably the best sprinter but give it up for the incredible lead outs he is givin in these stages

  • faster than the speed of light

  • cann't wait for this year tour..even HTC will break up,

just hope to see Cavendish lavishing the victory...

  • Man, the guy just creates such extreme gaps, this is not winning a sprint, this is arriving solo.

  • cavendish is the hero of sprint i respect him

    i wana be like him

  • i watch this to get amped up before a race (im a sprinter obviously)

  • Sachin should be watching this

  • turbo legs

  • Cav is a machine!

  • don't F*ck with Julian dean.

  • @nonfictionone SUrely you mean, don't f*ck with Mark Renshaw?

  • You've gotta love Cav.

  • I have seen this hundreds of times and all it makes me feel is more love for cav

  • 6:28... i've never seen anybody go that much faster than thor, who alone is one of the fastest sprinters in his own right... mad respect for cav

  • Mark is winning already this year. Greipel by very afraid.

  • Lizzrose, waiting to see what you post after this years Tour is part of the excitment in my household. Brilliant compilation thanks xxx

  • when you got blokes that would head butt opposing riders at the finish, and other ones that would chuck out bottles into the paths of riders behind them... who would want to race with half these bastards

  • its bullshit that they disqualified Mark Renshaw on stage 11, you can clearly see the Garmen rider move off his line and stick his elbow out just to fuck with HTC's lead out. BULL SHIT! I dont blaim renshaw closing the door on Farrar, it was war after that. The Tour needs to get officials with racing backgrounds. I hate the french

  • The moment from 6:35

    HAHA!

  • I watch this at least twice a week so how many hundreds? I still cry for Mark. And I reckon he will win many stages this year. And another Milan? I love him.

  • REAL MENS CRY! YOUR ARE THE MEN CAVENDISH! GO HIGH; GO RIGHT; GO CHAMPION!

  • Great video. I'm a big big Cav fan. He's got the speed and he proved he's got cagyness a la Oscar Freire with his last two stage wins in TDF 2010. One of best things to happen to cycling for years.

  • 3:31 Thor Hushovd. He was lucky he not crashed. (:

  • I love the top view watching a rider break away. His emotion is so awesome!

  • I am an unaluldatered Cav fan. It's great to see this here. I cry though on the only just wins

  • this music just made me soft.

  • i get goosebumps every time i see the champs win.

  • i get goosebumps every time i see the champs win.

  • I'm a sprinter and I've had some victories. small time club and club-national victories. Mark Cavendish makes the best sprinters in the world, on form, look like club time trialists. Seriously I've never seen anyone do what he does. I'm a harsh critique and I can not get my head around what he does.

  • wow ! brilliant video !

  • the one person who disliked it... must have been Thor Hushovd.

  • I can't wait until 2011! Cav vs. Griepel! That is going to kick booty!

  • at stage 18 where he extends his lead by so much, just phenomenal!

and stage 20 you see thor hushovd coming into the screen then at the back little mark cavendish just zooms by everyone!!!

  • I have seen this video over 100 times. I'm not lying(:

  • @SuperSlax1 I wish everyone did (=

No, just wanna say thank you for watching, to all of you!

  • @lizzrose He's my idol!

  • I think I have seen this video over 100 times. I'm not lying (:

    GO CAV!!!

  • this vid just show how temprementaly brilliant Mark cavendish is.

  • Great vid.

  • Such an amazing sprinter!

  • Such an amazing sprinter!

  • Cav is destined to be the greatest sprinter of all time! My hat goes off to him and the Manchester City Council who, by deciding to bid for the 2002 Commonwealth games provided the infrastrucure to nurture cycling in the UK. As a result the UK can now finally compete on the international cycling stage!

    Cav, you're amazing.

  • @acme181169 you know its comments like that that piss me off so much. Mark Cavendish isnt british. He's Manx. he has a manx surname, a manx accent and was born and raised in the isle of man. So please dont go saying he is part of the UK because the isle of man isnt. We're part of the british isles and thats it.

  • @billabob16 Sorry, If I caused offence. I kinda understand where you're comming from, and accept your point about being a Manxman. However, my comments regarding Manchester City Council remain true!

BTW I love the IOM, Its a fantastic place and I've been there many times. The diving is spectacular!

  • @acme181169 its no problem, though it'd be a complete lie to deny the fact that manchester has done a lot for him, yeah, thanks manchester on that one =P

  • Awesome vid! The human side of cycling!

  • sweet sweet video, good music. wish you'd shown more of the champs elyses, cav worked his was up from about 20th at the tunnel all by by himself, legend!

  • Bacanisimo!!

  • Cracking video as always, Lizz!

  • 4:35 Epic headbutt!

  • Great job lizz.

  • @MegaFortman commentary was in Dutch, so that's why I put music over it.

  • @lizzrose I rather like the music and it fits well thanks

  • @MegaFortman I enjoyed the music

  • le meilleur sprinteur du monde !!

  • From Gerald Ciolek the head is funny

  • Cavendish : An exeptional british talent , often criticized ...

  • Cavendish is the man i will support u to the end!

  • Excellent!

  • Fantastic ....loved it!

  • Great compilation, thanks for putting it together.

  • I love it when Mark Renshaw punches the air when Cav took the fifth stage. The interview after stage five is absolutely amazing. Can't wait for next year's tour.

  • 6:06 D: wow!

  • genius and character! embrace the 2 people that have this in abundence, valentino rossi and mark cavendish are the most exciting, gifted, dedicated and so in love with there sport athletes you will ever see grace our screens in your lifetime!! forget all the overpaid, overated, muff diving and x-factor loving wanabees and even if you dont love their attitude at least appreciate what they bring to the table..100% everytime all the time!!!!

  • @pav1001 spot on - u have picked my two greatest right there - Vale and Mark - the passion and the drive, superb

  • What a great compilation of the greatest cyclist the UK has ever seen, Mark Cavendish. I saw his bike on the HTC team car and it's tiny.

  • @bitchoflivingblah Cav isnt from the uk. He's manx. he has a manx surname, accent was born here and raised here so please dont go saying he's from the uk becuase he isnt. he's from the isle of man, and is proud of it.

  • @billabob16 he is from the uk. he's not from great britain or more importantly ingerland. iom is a part of the uk. albeit a semi autonomous island state.

  • @kilomeister Ok first of all he isnt from the UK becuase the IOM isnt part of the UK. We're part of the british isles. That is it. Secondly its spelt England, not ingerland. and thirdly dont try and sound smart by saying "albeit a semi autonomous island state" when infact we are not. we are a crown dependancy meaning we still are ruled by the queen but have our own government unlike a state. Oh and i'll post a second comment to show you what wikipedia says we are.

  • @kilomeister here is what wiki says about what we are: The lordship revested into the British Crown in 1764 but the island never became part of the United Kingdom and retained its status as an internally self-governing jurisdiction.

  • wow great sportsmanship with the headbutts >_< ...

  • @hentajus - the guy leans in on Renshaw and tries to hook his arm round Renshaw. What else can he do? The guy can´t take his hands off the bars at 50 kmh. I see it as the other rider being at fault, trying to muscle in in a dangerous and unsportsmanlike manner.

  • @yourehavingalarf totally agree

  • Great video!!!

Congratulations friend, greetings from Costa Rica
