Heh Sogh Well heres from experience and knowledge. Higurashi no naku koro ni is a Vn or Visual novel which was written by Ryuukishi 7*yes thats how he puts his stage name*. It got quite popular and soon became an anime. Yet not alot know it was first a VN because of the fact that it never got translated. although if you go on Mangagamer you can buy the translated version of it.

i never knew Higurashi was a visual novel.. hm.. sounds like it would be an interesting visual novel, judging by the anime. Unless, of course, they are nothing alike.. but that would just ruin the concept, so i doubt that..
